F1 2011 F1 2011 on Steam?

I'm sure that F1 2011 will be available on steam but as of yet i have not seen any advertising or preorder on there and with the release date coming fast thats a worrie.........

If anyone has any info on this matter it would be appreciated.

how big was the dl? im not home and wont be able to DL it til tuesday ... and does it unlock midnight monday (into tuesday) or midnight tuesday (into wednesday)?

In the Steamapps/common the folder for 2011 is 10.1GB large compared with 2010's 7.74GB

I am tempted to buy the game on steam instead of retail, but I am wondering if that might not cause some problems with mods since Steam installs the game in the steamapps folder which sometimes causes a few compatibility issues (for example I had some trouble importing my Mass Effect 1 savegame from steam into Mass Effect 2 on origin).

So, does anyone have any experience on mods and steam from F1 2010?

I used mods in F1 2010 via steam, encountered no problems at all. (Ryder ModManager also worked fine for me)

How long does the F1 2011 download take at Steam? My connection is about 15-20mbs download. Thanks.

Taking your figures and splitting them at 18 Mbits/s = 2.25 MBytes/s, somewhere in the region of 84 minutes .....

... assuming you can maintain that speed, especially as Steam download servers can get busy sometimes
