well being me i did everything wrong - you are suppost to remove gt ledgends mod [dont be lazy and search it cuz there a necessary file with gtl in the name] after i removed that my ame broke so i reinstalled it after putting mods and skins in a safe place

taking out the gtl mod by itself will still work

I do keep getting an error message stating I may be using a different game version when trying to enter server.
I put the track in the Steam Apps because I had done so with other tracks and I cannot find any folder named GTR Evolution.
Runs fine offline, so it must be loaded somewhere correctly, except it apparently has a serious bug that limits my speed to 24's

Thanks for any help getting in the server, needless to say setup help as well.

There is no folder named GTR Evolution, being that GTR Evo, just like STCC and Race On are just expansion packs and install on top of your Race 07 install. The install path should look something like:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\{Your Steam UserID}\Race07\

Tracks are generally installed in the GameData\Locations\ within your Race07 folder. Many of the tracks and add-on's for download here on RD will also include a readme.txt file which should tell you the correct place to install the files contained within the archive.

Thank you, that's exactly how I've installed the few tracks so far.
I think I see the problem, I created a new profile with my real name in order to race here, apparently loaded the game with a nickname profile. I see the original nickname folder but no real name folder. Hope that makes sense. Maybe I need to redo my STEAM profile?

erm
this may sound abit crazy but its what i did
put your mods and tracks and carskins safe on yer desktop then reinstall the game
first thing then is to get the clio cup mod into the game and sort the rest out after event

Your steam account name is not linked to your screen name in Race 07.

I wish I could offer you guys some advice but I don't have GTL and have not really had the problem you describe.

OH BTW I did order a G35 headset and expect it to arrive on MOnday!

I desperately need to get a decent headset. Mine is much to quiet. I can hardly hear you guys on team speak during races and I have already turned down the games volume.
