I don't suppose anyone has a copy of the original Race2Play setup developer? The original excel based version rather than the current limited version?

And how do I know what the operating temperature of the tyres are??

I found it quite difficult to set up as well, with the unadjustable things at the rear making it a bit more of a puzzle. The one I posted was the best compromise that I could get that still allowed me to drive it even half consistently.

Only half, mind you.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a setup that I'm happy with too. I haven't cooked up anything worth posting yet. But I will work on it a bit more when I get home in the morning. When I think I can't get it any better I will post it up.

It looks like this might be the trickiest of the 72 bunch.

Here's what I've come up with. It's still very twitchy, and getting the power down is scary, but I've managed low 1.50's round Donnington, though this could mean nothing as I'm not particularly fast at the best of times.

The fastest laps in the last 72 class event around Doni GP (taking out the RS2000 Escort) was about mid 1.48's, so less than 2 sec off those fastest laps (ie ones where we'd done prac, quali and got the fuel down after some race laps) in a twitchy car with little or no prac isn't to be sniffed at, imo.

Sorry for being absent lately. I just finished my master's degree and it was a lot of work the last three weeks.

Now I've moved back home for a long summer vacation:D I just set up my computer and it seems my connection is OK so I'll give it a go tonight.

Tim, just had a look at your setup and a few things jumped out at me that might help you.

1. steering lock, need to reduce this a bit
2. caster, need to increse this, maybe double
3. front anti roll, need to bring this down, maybe a couple of clicks
3. toe in, may help to up this a click or 2
4. brake bias, need to shift this more to the back
5. front camber, maybe up this a little more, helps with turning.

Thanks for the tips Bob, I'll try them out. The steering lock is high because I only drive with one hand, so it makes things a little easier for me
