wow... carnage...

22 starters, 5 finishers - i had no idea we would be, collectively, that massacred... :sinister:

i q'd 14th... never managed to get a full clean quick lap in... that place was grabbed on an outlap... arrrrf!

start was ok... and we're trundling along nicely until about halfway around lap 1... just had a mooch of the replay... carlos and richard came together, richard span, carlos slowed and concertina crash city special ensued... weirdly i didn't see one brake light before i'm eating the arse of at least two people in front of me... sorry fellas, no time to react... to finish i got munched from behind as well.... and as we get going again i find i have a puncture....

that then starts a round of pitting every other lap, mebbe more often, to enjoy my favourite pit preset "tyres+aero"... out we go, start to catch up someone ahead, catastrophic fail... repeat repeat repeat....

a coupla laps in i had a fairly modest crunch into the unforgiving tyres at t1 and was told by mr nasal "damage is not repairable"... except he's a liar... and drove on i did with a huge plume of smoke trailing behind... kept pulling over for leaders to give them half a chance to make their way thru the clouds... even rolled it approaching the final chicance and the wee mini plugged faithfully on...

somewhere around lap 7 i screwed the chicane again and ended up on my side... this time engine was definitely toast... maaaaaan!

huge respects to the guys that pulled it off and came thru... sorry if the rest of us couldn't provide any kind of challenge for ya! :D

until next time, kiddahs!

ps. here's the qually screenie for reik.... :thumb:

Qualified 9º ( best for me in RD so far  ) . After a bad start lost 2 positions , but in the midle of first lap was 9º again . Then i hit Richard ( really sorry for that Richard :disapointed: ) , the thing is in that turn i don't brake and thought you didn't brake too so when i saw your brake lights i tried to brake but had no time . Just after that i saw a message somebody left the game ( couldn't catch the name but i was pretty sure it was you ) so i didn't stop to let you pass like i always do ... Just rialise my missunderstood when i watched the replay . Sorry again mate . I know how frustranting is to got a crash in the first lap ...

After that i was with a damage rear suspension and the car became really instable in the fast part of the track . Did 5 pit stops to fix this but with no success so , with 50 min. left i gave up the pits and tried just to finish and did in 5th :laugh2:

Thanks to Andrew for this event :highfive:

Qual: 3rd Finish: 1st

Always happy with anything around the front 3 rows area for starts, get a real good one and take P2 from Yves and up to the back bumper of Ben for T1,i get a chance to pass Ben lap 2? 3?,and get the lead,Ben is able to keep with me,gradually i pull away a bit, then notice the gap suddenly grow big about the time Ben would be at the chicane.....now with a big comfort zone i settle in and take it easy and pit as late as a full tank takes me,about 20mins left i think?,pit goes well and come out still in the lead and have a nice relaxed drive to the finish :).
Congratsos to all who manage to survive to the finish tonight.

Many Thanks Andrew and RD,i like this track even more than i did before

*Dismayed to hear calls of "Lag" and my name in the same sentence, not something im usually plagued by,sorry if it ruined your race Benno.*

Important: Please pay special attention to Racedepartment's Golden Rule: If you hit another driver and disadvantage him, we expect you stop and let the other driver regain his position on you. If this costs you many places (eg first few laps) then consider this a penalty for your driving infringement. Doing this shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, do not immediately stop your car on the driving line where it can cause further accidents. This is a special joint event for Oceania and US Zone Members only. The reason for the restriction is that we want to test whether widely varying pings from across the world is affecting on-line performance quality (lagging & disconnections). The USA and Australia / New Zealand zones should all be about a similar ping on the European based server.

Please note the race times carefully: Saturday for Oceania and Friday for USA timezones.

This is also our first attempt at using STCC and the STCC Racing Rules, ie. Forced pitstops and superpole.

Quick question, how much is GTR Evo going for now and does EB games have it? Im thinking of hitting this up, exam finally done :D.

Sorry Ben but i bought mine at EBgame in Montreal, it wasn't showing on their website but i called and they sell it and Cristian i got the full version ( not the addon ) for 19.99 so you might want to call the store near you to see if they have it.
