Under UK Environmental Law, any industry, factory or business which has produced pollution of any kind (including noise) for more than 10 years continuously cannot be 'shut down' by later complainants. It has the right to continue to do so.

This seems like one of those Facebook hoaxes that people fall for, imho.

Not really, Mallory Park?

Mallory Park is still open. The only noise abatement served on them was in 1985ish and it restricted them to 40 days of racing per year with a 6pm curfew on Sundays.

Edit: The two-year dispute between the circuit and district council related to breaches of the 1985 notice.
