F1 2012 Engine Wear in F1 2012

What do you think about the engine wear in this game? Do you think it's realistic or not?

I found the wear too unrealistic for me. My engine overheats too much so I even forced myself to pit for so many times during my race in Melbourne. Also may I ask, was this resolved and improved in a patch for PC?

Only thing I can think of is that your reving the engine badly and/or downshifting too quickly :S

I'll record a few laps later on for you (I will try and do a pedal view too, so you can see my footwork for braking etc)

Which patch do you use? I think this was addressed in one of the patches. And do you use any mods?
