I must say that I'm really starting to like this circuit.
It has some very fast, high commitment corners and then also some which you need to attack more conservatively.
Will make for a very interesting race. Can't wait :)

Also,

Am I free to choose whatever car I wish in the GT Pro line up?

So sorry!

My cap ran out yesterday and I was trying to use my iphone teathered to play but its just getting to much for it to handle.

Please remove me from the race, and I hope that you can fill my spot.

I look forward to having a race next weekend now.

I'll try to report later, but wanted to say a big sorry to Willie for the hit in Race 1 @ Anderstorp. I think you were having a huge struggle with that BMS (and who could blame you ), and seemed to be braking in strange places, but mostly very early. I bailed out many times trying to miss you, but finally, at the end of the loooong straight, I braked early, but not early enough, then bailed out right but still clipped you, as you also moved right. Really sorry mate, I waited for you and when you quit to the pits, I decided to follow you as the only penalty I could give myself. :sorry:

Also, sorry for the earlier tap in the last turn, but I was pushed into you that time.

It's been ages since I drove these WTCC cars, and it showed unfortunately. :frown:

Race Report:

Nice to be back and to join a race with the "old" group. However, I hadn't driven a WTCC car in Race On for many months, and it turned into a bit of a nightmare. The Seat Leon was never a favourite of mine, but hey, you play the cards you are dealt. :)

Anderstorp: Qualified reasonably, right between Yves and William, so I was hoping for some good racing with old mates. I botched that hope up instantly by missing the start, apologies to Daniel behind me. I was expecting a mess at the end of the airport straight, so went for an earlier brake, but that again caught Daniel unawares and had him sliding from the fright. Sorry again Daniel. Then as I watched Daniel in the mirror, I followed Kevin into the sand and ended up hitting him in there. So I decided to just wait for Kevin to get going again and waited till everyone had gone. Now last and maybe I could concentrate on racing. I quickly caught poor Willie who was having a hell of a time trying to control his untamed BMS. Sadly for James, he was now caught behind us both. As Willie kicked and bucked the BMS all over the track, he was proving almost impossible to safely pass, giving James and I some practice to develop our evasion skills. Eventually James bumped me into Willie in the last turn. I took the opportunity to pass Willie since I didn't believe it was my fault, I hope that was ok? After settling down to some driving, I went for an early pitstop to get it out of the way. As I exited, I came out behind Willie again (oh no!!! ). I then had the accident with Willie at the end of the long straight, resulting in us both retiring.

Falkenberg: A different nightmare this time. I aimed for a much safer drive this time, hoping to avoid the disasters of Anderstorp. It was very hectic, but I avoided any serious problems, but made a huge mistake in the pits. I changed the fronts, and immediately realised that was wrong when the car turned into an oversteering, spinning frenzy on every right hand turn (which most of them are). Oops, the left rear tyre was almost totally shot, and I still had lots of laps to go. From then on, it was a case of nursing the car home, whist somehow trying to avoid the regularly lapping Radicals etc.

It was an "interesting" idea for an event, lots of fun, but realistically allowing Radicals to run against WTCC cars was a hopeless mismatch, and surely wasn't a lot of fun for those guys constantly lapping everyone. The lottery idea is a good one, it forces people to drive different cars, but I think it may work better if the cars are at least somewhat matched.

With finally 10 entries we go to qualy and i got a very good first lap which means already pole position.

In race the first stint was much harder then expected. Jesper and Matt could follow me quiete easily and i had to defend more then one time P1 against Jesper after missing the two time the breakpoint of the hairpin. Could stay in front till first stop which works without problems.
After i stopped i had suddently about 10 sec to P2 which wondering me a bit. Some laps later it increase to more then 20 sec which wondering me much more so i was thinking that they stopped again to collect a beer or something like that.
Anyway i found a good rythm for the last 30 min and take P1 home with a not expected gap of more then 30 sec to Jesper in P2 Dariusz in P3.

Thanks all for joining and David for orgenizing the event, was nice to run the Mini in the city. :good:
