Game and server updated and practice server is up.
Apologies for repeating myself, but it really is an awesome combo. Might be the best these cars ever felt to me, to be honest. You think you're almost at the limit, but drive a bit more and you realize you can push *so* much more...
love to take these cars out for a spin but Thursday i work nights
Helo Ismail, nice to hear from you
Hope everything is fine
Well come back soon it's always good to see you and @M4LLY on track
I like the fact the server is up and running for practice but it's the wrong cars. well it's the right cars just the wrong year.
What year is on the server?
Should be 2016 although 2015 are pretty much the same.
Will check or change when I'm at my pc.
2015 at the moment Sir Kenny.
Be changed in about an hour
Fixed now Calv
Yeah, I agree Martin. The DTM cars have always been a challenge for me but on this track I feel very comfortable in them. Of course that may not play out in the actual race but it's a good sign anyway.
I dont have an understanding with Bathurst at all, we just don't get along, but by all means put me down as a Maybe?
Depends if I escape hospital treatment in good time....
Will do Paul
Sign me up please.
You're on the grid
Can I make this??
yes qually just started
I would like to apologise to everyone I collected at the end of Conrod Straight. I had DRS open behind 2 cars and the back end came around on the right hand kink/crest. I was braking on the grass/gravel but not slowing down and had no control over the car rejoining the track at the esses. Sorry for spoiling people's race.
Think I'd better go away and get some more wheel time in before making an ass of myself again.
Well, I was pleased with my performance because I didn't totally lose it at any time and only lost a little paint and maybe a door knob or two but it appears that Calvin lost control coming down the hill just about midway through the race and took us both out, which ended any hope of a decent finish.
I must add too that I really don't like the DRS feature. I didn't go through my video and get an exact count but I'm pretty sure that by the 9th lap I had only had 3 laps with DRS and was getting passed constantly. Also, using the DRS down the hill made the cars very unstable and I watched many that were swaying left to right as they tried to keep the cars on the road at those speeds.
Anyway, thanks to Kenny for all his effort and here's my video.
OK, there we go. Pushed the wrong #$^&ing button
I should've known that getting too excited while practicing will not end up well, it never does
Well, it could've gone worse for sure, so I shouldn't be too disappointed, and I still had better luck than some others for sure, but yeah, still kinda am. Not that it wasn't fun, just couldn't really keep up, especially as the tyres started to go.
Oh well. Thanks for the race anyway And as always, if I've bumped into you or done something stupid, then I'm sorry. I do remember downshifting one gear too many in the Quarry several times in front of @Daniel Nieto which probably might have looked like me trying to block, but it absolutely was just my ineptitude at work, and also one kinda hairy situation in the Esses as I missed my braking point, so...see above
One interesting thing, though - I usually struggle a lot with CPU with Raceroom if I have OBS running (yeah, I don't think I will upload this one), but today, my CPU usage was *way* lower than normal. I wonder if it was the cars or the performance improvements mentioned in yesterday's update, because my CPU was crying on Tuesday.
