Display and movement of NODES

Have an issue with editing a basic track, and probably a complex one.
When creating the track and I wish to edit nodes, in the past I would just mouse click and drag it to wherever I wished. I could see the node moving on the screen. With vers 6 & 7 I now need to guess where the node will be as I cannot see it happening in real time. I also find when I click a node I always end up with the bars for Bezier adjustment.

I am not the only person with this problem. 2 off us have the same issue.
I am asking if anyone else has this problem.

PC details are Win XP Pro, Quad core CPU (intel), Nvidia 9400 video and 4Gb Ram.

Have not had the problem before so suspect it is in latest updates, as PC is the same. ANY HELP WELCOMED

Options - Main - change Update Timing to Immediate if you havent allready done that

May be if you make a zoom (more zoom in) you can select the nodes, and not the bezier control points.

I think shift select will get the node rather than a control point. Should be in the help.
