Direct Drive Moments

Hello fellow simracers!

Since May of 2019 Im a proud user of a direct drive system from Fanatec.

Last week I had my first "real" DD moment, where I felt that I'd loose the car and could react to the FFB way before any onscreen hint could have saved me!

I was really impressed how well the wheel helped me save the car in this situation and after that "moment" I love my DD Wheel even more!

Did you guys, using DD Wheels, have any similar moments yet?

I have had the same experience with my SC2 Sport. Got it since 2 months now. My car control improved greatly with the direct drive. And together with my HE Sprint pedals I can see my driving skills improving by the week. And faster lap times as well, even though I've heard lots of people saying that your lap times won't improve with better equipment, that they would only get more constant.

More like a general improvement. My Thrustmaster 300 wasn't a bad wheel and I mostly play Assetto Corsa (1), which seems to be a bit tuned to drive belt wheels and gets a bit rude with DD. ACC on the other hand is clearly doing better on DD than on the belt wheel.
