DEM Racing Simulators recently announced its next project, the DRS Integrale Professional Steering System. It is currently undergoing advanced testing, with plans for it to enter the market prior to this spring.

The Italian made system features two 24 volt 200W high torque contra rotating engines powering it. The engines and gear wheels are mounted on a large diameter bearing, with the system to have 14Nm of torque (confirmation to come) and 1024 torque levels for each steering direction. Possibility to modify the steering wheels inertia via software makes it viable to adapt the wheel to suit different types of cars.

An Assetto Corsa plugin has been made to allow for modifying of force feedback to desired levels, with other main simulation software having this feature worked on to cater for them as well. The electronics are integrated with the system, meaning no external components, with it weighing in at 12kg.

The price of the system is yet to be announced, however DEM plan to keep it lower than current high end systems on the market.
