degrading load cell

can a load cell degrade or does it just die instantly?
if it is the first case: how do you notice it?

does it sometimes not register you braking enough or how do you notice it?

cheers

they can do lots of wierd and funky things , the moment it starts to play up get another one ordered... in the mean time you can use diview to take away some of the short falls (ie not registering full travel etc )

yesterday i went online at silverstone and had the impression that in some corners the loadcell didn't register pressure as well as in previous laps, could this be a failing load cell or is it just my mind playing tricks on me?

Loads cells do wear out, as with anything that gets used relatively regularly just with general wear and tear.
Depending on how frequently you use it, and how much pressure you're applying, load cells typically last anywhere between 3-6 months.

Make sure you've always got at least one spare load cell waiting in the wings in case your current one fails shortly before an important race.

the thing is
I bought these HE pro pedals and started racing them recently
It would be really strange if this load cell is already failing
and is a mavin loadcell not one that should last a bit longer?
anayway I appreciate the info guys
tonight I'm gonna try again and see if it gets any better

cheers!

Well if you bought them just recently, then they're probably fine. It can take some time to get used to load cell braking. It certainly took me about a week and half of pretty frequent racing to get used to it.

well, I did two offline stints at silverstone and all is well
I really hope I had a major offday yesterday so my experience will be the same online as well
really enjoyed it!
AC is like an onion with many layers
and I'm slowly peeling them off one by one,
but yesterday it almost made me cry:p
