default trees (complex objects) and wrong shadows

Hi all. I read several posts about shadows and complex objects and I wasn't able to understand the why we have this problem and the way to solve it.

Also using the trees that are default objects of the default xPack there is no way to have a right appearance of them... any set I try... no way to watch the foliage without the squared areas in grey and not transparent.

But I saw lots of tracks where trees do not generate this problem: then, is it a BTB problem?

How to avoid this problem?

You need to uncheck the "object recieves shadows" option. For sum reason textures with transparencies dont like to recieve a shaddow from something else. In this case it is an upper branch casting a shaddow on a lower one.
