Creating single player championships

I know you guys are mostly about GSC extreme. But is it possible to create my own custom championships in GSC2012? The game wont let me click on create unless I've selected one of the two championships listed. Then while it lets me select any car I want, it only runs the selected championship.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
