@Kev - it's the red Corvette 74 that's in the 76 class - there's a green Corvette 69 that's also in the 76 class - we're just driving the red one.

Please remember that we are using the RED 'vette for this test/event, not the White/Green one. There's no way to split them in the online server, so they will both appear - you just have to choose the right one :good:

Hi,

I'd like to join the action tomorrow! How do I sign up for the race?- I'm new in this community.

And could anyone please tell me what exactly I need (I will download the track from the link but what about the cars? Do I need an add-on car or will we use the one that came with the game?)

1) How will I find and join the server?
2) What time zone is used (race starts at 15:00)? I'm living in Germany and since English is used as language, I don't know when to show up!
3) If there is sth. else I need to know please tell me!

The event (start of practice) is at 19:00GMT which is 21:00 in Germany

The car is default. When you join, you will only be able to select the corvette. You need to select the red one (#850).

To join the server, make sure you have the lobby fix:

Go to the Multiplayer lobby and find the RACEDEPARTMENT server. The password for the server is in this forum:

Ulli, Matt is absolutely correct.

The event starts @ 21.00 German time.

GTL can run night races or day races, the "15.00" refers to what time of day IN-GAME the race is being run.

Roughly, it works out like this:-

12.00 - 15.00 full sunshine
16.00 - 17.00 twilight / dusk
18.00 - 19.00 lights needed but not fully dark
20.00 onwards - fully dark, lights mandatory

As a reminder, the testing events will be on tracks definitely NOT in the next RDHGP, and will consist of 2 races - one on a power track, one on a handling track

---and in general, how do I know if the race is being broadcasted as we race? Are all races broadcasted or only some?

P.S. Is there an indicator in the game that let's me know if I need new tires? Or do I have to rely on the feedback I get from the car? Cause with the technical course tonight, I would like to have your opinions on a possible necessity to change tires within the race.

If the race were to be a live broadcast then it will tell you in the prefix in the header of the race.

EG: LIVE BROADCAST Corvette 76 @ Various - Saturday 15th August

Dave is correct - no Broadcast tonight, it will be heavily signposted if it is going to be broadcasted.

As for the tyres, it's all feedback from the car, but 16 laps will mean you'll probably notice a little bit of wear (some slight sliding, slightly longer braking distances etc) but nothing catastrophic.

1 set of tyres will definitely last each race tonight, I can assure you that no-one else will be changing tyres in either race, Ulli.
