F1 2011 Corrupt game save

It's the second time my game crashes around the Monaco GP. What is wrong with it. After the first crash I disabled auto save cause this is what others suggested. Still, the problem persists... Any suggestions?

I have only one suggestion which may or may not work. I think sometimes, it is worth unplugging the steering wheel and starting the game. If the saved game loads in succesfully, then save it again, quit, plug steering back in, and restart.
This worked for f1 2011 many times, don't know if it will work in 2012 but worth a try.
