Content in Early Release...

I have been thinking about trying out the Early Release version. Can anyone give me a summary (or detail) of what is currently available in terms of cars and tracks.

Also, I mainly play Single Player (no MP), is the game at a good point for this? I realize that no AI is perfect, as long as cars aren't crashing into each other at every corner etc.

The Ai still needs work, they have Gran Turismo levels of racecraft - they don't overtake much.

I agree the AI still needs work, but I wouldn't go so far as saying they are on Gran Turismo levels - that would make them pretty bad At least you don't have to start at the rear and chase the rabbit and have single file starts.

I suspect Kunos will improve the AI but if not Game Stock Car Extreme will give you some of the best AI you will ever want to race and its cheap.

The FAQ is very helpful.

I do have GSCE, but there is a current issue with disappearing AI (even with maximum cars setting) that put me off a bit. The AI there is good, though.
