Started with WRC 4 on PS2, playing with (Against) my father. We always tossed a coin to decide who starts first, not knowing the stages by heart, so the second one would have had an advantage

First thing I played (or can remember having played) was Grand Prix 3 all the way back in 2004. I was 3 years young back then and played with a joystick on an old Win98 machine! I even still have the same original CD AND CD case! At the same time I had stuff like IndyCar Racing, Andretti Racing and Grand Prix 2 which I could play on Win98/DOS, and now, 16 years later, I still occasionally play GP3 and GP3 2000. Old but gold!

I'm going to only count proper 3d games (other wise it's Outrun) Start of the 90's I had the Team Suzuki game on the Amiga 500 and of course the 1st Microprose F1 game.

I totally forgot about that, the PC Speaker engine sounds should be in the hall of fame of the most annoying videogame sounds ever. (Same for the Motocycle version of this game)
But it was lovely and even already had the basic principle of understeer, overcooking corners and racing line in it.

So far, the kids are probably still in bed (also they tend to use Discord etc)

Though being serious for second, it time and not age the vote. You are making an assumption based on only one bit of data. If we did an age survey would be interesting to see that.

As with other things in life, as people get older they tend to have more money.

I got a taste for racing games with Super Monaco GP and Newman Haas Nigel Mansell game, but my first simulator was the NR2003, I started with it in 2005.

Started out with Microprose Grand Prix on our old 8086 when I was a wee lad.
