Here is Fernando ALONSO’s helmet at Renault in 2005 for F1 2020.

This helmet is designed to replace either the 70th Anniversary or we race as one, or end racism. In other words, the helmets without the ability to change colors.

In F1 2020 the helmet textures files are located in several ERP files. To correctly use the helmet in the game you have to replace all the 6 files in each erp files.

It's the Renault race suit i made for F1 2019. You can use it in f1 2020 because the suits, gloves, cap and shoes are compatible. you can find it here

Is there a reason why the helmet looks like this ingame?

It seems that you haven't replaced all the 6 textures of the helmet in all the erp files as explain in the read me file or you haven't correctly set the path to the game in the EEA 7.1.

In you case, you have to install them in the following erp files in the folder ..\F1 2020\2020_asset_groups\character_package\team_livery\endracism01:
endracisme01.erp
endracism01_gloves.erp
endracism01_helmet.erp

Try to check that and tell me if it fix your problem. If not, i don't know why it does that. Perhaps you have installed another mod that mess up the helmet...

I installed it like it said and there is still a problem. I will check my other mods

if it's a mod that mess it up, try to install it on another helmet slot like fom01 or weraceasone01 (or racenet and esport if you have unlock them).

Can you explain why you said it doesn't work and how you installed it??? Because it's a manual installation with EEA 7.1 you certainly did something wrong??? I just tested by download it from here and installed it and it works very fine...So it's not due to my helmet files if it doesn't work for you...
