Changing car race/sub class?

So i just bought the RSS NGTs, URD Aston and M8 but I cant seem to automatically set up a race with the other relevant racers, if I choose subclass i just get the other car and if I choose 'same racing class' it says 'cant detect selected car's class'.

You can do exactly what you asked for plus a thousand other things. It replaces the vanilla AC launcher with a massive suit of things that AC never did or could do.
But in your case you can set races, track day, practices etc in a ton of different ways. By class / mod / brand and class / similar P/W etc etc. Set custom grids manually...

And that's just roughly 3% of what Content Manager does.

And of course, just another tiny part, your cars.

change the "tag"

btw, no need to be insistent with two posts, if anyone has seen your question and knows an answer, he would answer, no matter how often you asked for it

You could also edit the car's ui.json file.
The subclass is defined by the tag with the # in front.
