F1 2010 Change team-name?

Hi,

I've been scoping the database-file and found out how to change name on drivers etc. But when I tried changing names of e.g. Force India to Honda (since there is an awesome skin for it in the downloads-section). The game crashes once I press the Grand Prix button.

That's what it says in the database-file, I tried to change: <file_string_id type="string" size="10">forceindia</file_string_id> to <file_string_id type="string" size="10">Honda</file_string_id>

But that makes the game crash, anybody got any idea about this one?

That's not the file you want to edit.
You need to work on the language file with the text editor tool.

Love that car! Looks fantastic, which it would replace some other team though.. like toro rosso or something.

Hmm... having a problem. My game crashes after I edit something in the language-file. I tried changing Ferrari to Honda, saved. Then reopened the file, changed it back to Ferrari, saved. Then launched the game, and even this makes the game crash.

Tried your file from the Alfa Romeo-pack and that works like charm, how did you do it?

My mod replaces Ferrari team.
I assume that you are using this tool http://www.racedepartment.com/f1-20...e-driver-grid-text-editor-work-f1-2010-a.html
I have done what you have, just using the tool changed the name Ferrari to Alfa Romeo. Check the file name in the language folder, it saves it as a translated file, you just need to rename it.

I got it to work, I used Notepad at first. Then discovered the RDE-tool ;D haha...

Are you planing on making the team take out Toro Rosso instead of Ferrari? - Because, I really like the ferrari-team a lot.
