Darren Gardner said:
The main action for me was the last 11-10 min of the race i was racing hard with lee and at times i could of passed him but i didnt want to take us both out, as we where heading to the last turn of the race i could see lee's tyres where not happy and i treid to pass him but i didnt.

I must say thank you to rd for setting this up and a big thanks to lee for a really great race.

And I thank you sir for working so hard not to punt us both off track ... the little Beemer was far more agile than the Aston, especially around the twisties and at the end of the race but I knew I could gap you on acceleration, esp on the back straight and into the right hander at the end of it so used that as much as I could to get breathing space ... but man did you keep me honest in those last 10 minutes and right down to the wire ... had to drive seriously defensively and block the line very hard in that last turn to keep you at bay. My tires were so squirrelly I had no other choice if I wanted to hold on to my 7th spot :becky:
BTW. got up there from my 12th quali position, and I will have to check the replay, but I think it was me with the good start on the inside of Nige/Michael at T1 :p

Nice one to Darren though, excellent driving ... also had a good battle with Lu (till he ran out of fuel as he mentioned ) and one or two others throughout the race ...

I would like to add that I have great admiration for all who I raced against last night ... the amount of control, respect and patience they showed for one another is what makes RD such a great place to race :thumb:

Special remarks: Building a Lotus 7 replica in real life, but driving experience in them is limited... Could be very hairy.

Steve, the start grid is after the hairpin here because the track is a conversion from GTR2. GTR2, and the real FIA GT Championship, use the sportscar layout of Spa, which holds the 24 hour race and other races. The sportscar layout moves the startline to the straight before Eau Rouge.
