Cannot add custom skins in RACE Injection

I have got Race 07 and most of the the expansions, so i recently bought Race injection for WTCC 10 and STCC 2 and now i cannot add car to the customskins and show up in game???

I was under the impression that race Injection is an expansion if you don't own all the games, so if that is the case how come i cannot add custom skins????

As far as I know, it is indeed possible to add the custom skins. Do not know however if there are already templates available, and I also do not know how the .ini file is supposed to look like.
I do not have the expansion myself, so can't test it for you.

Can you post the text from the .ini file, and where you exactly put the skins?

And the Custom Skins goes into D:\Game\Games\Steam\Steamapps\myname\race07\customskins...

Before i bought Race injection i was able to put skins into the folder and now i can't...

The custom skins should go to this directory:

C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\CustomSkins

The .ini file is not the correct one, it should look like this:

[[[Team Name]]]
[[Driver name]]
[Honda Accord R 2008]
body=filename.dds
windows=filename.dds
interiorwindow=filename.dds
helmet=filename.dds


You will find the .ini file in the folder of the custom skin you add to the directory mentioned above.

but i downloaded the custom skins and not 1;s i done,

That folder from which you made a screenshot, does that have a file calles error.log?

If so, please post the content of that file here

To ensure your putting it in the right place, try installing a skin that you know works, maybe one of the RD member skins, it you haven't already. This will verify that your putting them in the correct place.

Assuming they are in the right place the errors log file can give you insight into what's going wrong with a skin, although note errors can be generated that cause the skin to not work, but some errors will not stop the skin working, ideally you want a clean errors log though.

You have used the correct dxt files for Windows and body, can't remember them but they are different and if you use the wrong ones when creating the skin it won't work.

Hope this is of use, its ages since I did a skin, when you solve it please post back saying how - maybe you'll help someone solve their problem in future by doing so. Good luck with it.

Do you have 2 Race installs?
