Build your own pc

Thanks a lot. He mentioned if you wanted to go SLI or Overlock, but he went on to say "650 is one the edge anyway". Still, his sources may be different :)

I'll just buy the PC piece by piece then, to be safe :)

Ok, considering this setup. Tell me if it's good:
Antec 900 Midi Tower
NEC DVD+-RW burner
Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB
Intel i7 920
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P, X58, Socket-1366
XFX GTX 260 Core 216
Crucial DDR3 3GB 1333 MHz
750w PSU

And more than likely Windows XP.

So, what's your verdict?

Yeh, looking at the compatible ram for the motherboard/CPU, according to Komplett.ie anyway, 3gb is the most I can afford. 6gb is around €150. Also I've read that 6GB isn't ultimately necessary, doesn't really do heaps better than 3GB as far as I know.

Anyway, if I am choosing XP then 3GB is the most I can use anyway. For sure I will upgrade later. :)

hey abdul yes let talk about it :) i need 1 soon to so i can crank up more the CPU OC :)

this is supose to be the best for price and quality :) there other to but i think for air this is the way to go and i think you got OC Q6600 3.0 correct ?i saw it from the OC tread .Your temp is way to high 55 in idle.i have the arctic freezer pro idle at CPU 30 CORE 1-2 40 that with 4.2 OC e8400.
You have the best quad Q6600 for OC from alot reading in OC forum easy to OC and low voltage:)

i started with arctic freezer pro to c first how my cpu wil go and now i know it can go higher i wil need to go with the best cpu cooler i wanna reech 4.5 :)and maybe more if i can.

The ultra is amazing...espcially if you lap it also ( which most do need ) Get it if you can.

I also highly recommend the Scythe coolers if your on a certain budget, got a E4500 @3.2Ghz 29C idle 48C load with the andy samurai. It's the best cooler for that price, in terms of cooling and being the most silent you can get at around that price range.

The only big downside is push pins, but for me how silent it is and how good the cooling is for the price made it a worthy buy.

I might just be tempted with this cpu cooler

Less than 50 quid.

Aroung £40 which isnt bad at all. Its been getting high revs.

Damian, I am terrified of push pins after a bad experiance recently.
