Alright when was that again.....?

Isnt it -/- 15 points?

Good to see Hulk back again. Hopefully more luck for him this weekend.
On the other hand feel sorry for Perez to miss another race.
What will the effect be on the longer term with the seat swap 2021?

Enjoy the race weekend again!!

So they have used same brake ducts in 4 races. Protests for 3 races are upheld and their points are taken for only 1 race. Okay, this is 100% F1 decision, looks fine and in line with their usual decisions. :roflmao:

It wouldn't be fair and reasonable to RP given current times that they'd have to develop a new system from scratch within 1 raceweekend via the triple headers F1 currently holds. So given that atleast one factory development week when there's no ongoing preperations is rather fair considering that you have to consider the safety and cost aspect. For them it was pending, so while it was pending it'd have been wise to start developing a new one back then either for case A imidiate replacement or case B later in the current season or next season (given that 2021 holds a cap in development from 2020 so cars are to remain relatively frozen in further development to bring down costs as sanctioned by FIA).

Renault being massive karens as usual. Even without them brake ducts Renault wont beat them.
In the previous season RP claimed against Renault, so shots were fired first there. Renault responded and upheld because they have much more backing power via the company.

I understand that point of view, but that is also on them as it is explained in report: they had a chance at start of this year, before pre-season tests, when FIA was visiting factory to ask them and to clear up anything about their planned approach to brake ducts. They didn't.
One small thing I would also like to be cleared up is which brake ducts were sent on 6th January this year to RP. 2019 ones that they got during last year or some with any updates that Merc did near the end of last year. Any small thing to talk about since as you say cars are more or less frozen -> championships until 2022 are frozen. :D

That last sentence.. Got F1 fever?....

Than you should get yourself tested. ;)

But for a car that is almost a carbon copy of the Merc of last year only a 400.000 fine and some points.
Ain't such a bad deal, designing your own car costs way more.

If they are referencing the external appearance as grounds for the decision, Renault are also in trouble for many parts of their car. However, if the internals of the brake are in question, Mercedes will likely come under protest by Renault for letting RP use the design. The story is going to run and run.

Mercedes sent a complete set of brake ducts to Racing Point on Jan. 6th 2020. FIA states it wasn't a breach of regulation because the parts were not used & there was nothing in the transfer that had not been legitimately provided to RP in 2019 under old rules.
