Alright when was that again.....?

Due to covid 19 there will not be spectators. I don't think many showed up for past events. The country is politically unstable so it is not a place where someone would go for vacation.

6th most visited country in 2018 with 45.8 million total visitors. Number and ranking probably similar in 2019 as well.

Turkey
45.8 million

In terms of the city, 10th most visited city in the world in 2019, with a total of 13.5 million visitors.

10. Istanbul – Turkey (13.433 million)

Gotta say, mainstream media is really doing a good job with fooling people.

Known for its unique anticlockwise direction and the dramatic triple apex left hander at turn 8, the track has always proved to be a popular location for the drivers and teams - with former F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone labelling the venue as "the best race track in the world".

A correction: It's quadriple apex, but sometimes drivers intentionally miss the first one, depending on the setup and sensitivity of the car to bumps. Big chunk of pre 2009 cars would hit the first apex. Probably because of bigger and harder tyres and somewhat higher ground clearance.

Pretty clueless aren't we? That's what happens when your only source of information is mainstream media.

Do you know how many Syrian refugees Turkey hosts? More than 4 million.

Do you know how many of those "opressed certain group of people" live in Istanbul? More than 2 million. Do you know how many "certain group of oppressed people" are teachers, doctors, government officials, lawyers of this country? Hundreds of thousands.

Depriving women of what? Turkey is one of the first nations in the world where women fully had the right to vote and be elected. Some 30 years before Greece. Also before Italy, Spain, France, Japan.

And if we are to start with actual crimes, then we should never race in Belgium. Due to Leopold reasons. Or Germany, or France or pretty much nowhere except like 5 tracks in the calendar.

Generally these kind of people "appear" to talk about humanity, while they have a different toxic political agenda. Get your news from multiple, preferably non-mainstream sources, and not from this kind of people.
Ever since our great leader(!) came to power, turkey has never stepped down from the top 5 of:

Most missing journalists
Most women killings

Not to mention the economy getting worse and worse everyday and gigantic taxes and selling our national treasures to outside(mostly arabs)

Plus it's not a dramatic corner anymore, all you need to do is to train yourself some neck muscles to drive it full speed, another corner ruined by the constantly increasing downforce and grip levels.

It would also be nice to add Indianapolis, this track.
Indy would be great, but the oval. Just like they did it in the old days. Indy is a flat track so banking is minimal and it has a rectangular shape. So it runs like a road course, with short straights either end. The car will not have to adapt mutch at all. Not compared to intermediate tracks. The 500 is part of F1 history and should be part of the championship. And will be better than some stupid street circuit.

Istanbul is almost a great circuit, but the final couple of turns slightly ruins it.
The end of the track is a bummer as it has to force car to slow right down. This allows driver to go into lower gears and work up. This revitalises revs, allowing driver a clean fresh lap. So if the engine was over revved the mistake is not carried over into the next timed lap. This is a opportunity for the car to slow down and cool of. Making seter one and 2 more on the power.

Finally, a track I've really missed. It's a Tiike hallmark but I've loved it none-the-less. I'm kind of surprised F1 is going though. They tend to avoid political hotspots where they can.

I am not sure if it will be flat for several reasons.

If you set it up to take turn 8 easy flat, you'll lose time and be slow especially on the back straight. These cars can probably be set up to take Lesmo's flat but they aren't, because you'd be doing 300kph on the Monza straight.

Turn 8 is bumpy, and it distrups the aero and balance quite a bit.

They will also carry more speed into turn 8 (climb from 7 faster & accelerate quicker until 8) and more grunt of the engine during the turn will push the car outside even more.

2011 cars were hitting 5g peak. 2020 could average 5 to 6g sustained load for 7 seconds. Plus its counter-clockwise so their necks aren't trained throughout the season for left handers. I remember Vettel was leaning his head to the cockpit the entire duration of turn 8.

May just be flat in quali, maybe not even for all cars, but in the race starting with full fuel load, lap after lap with Pirelli's, not sure if it's possible.

If hypocrisy was a fatal disease we would all be dead. We all fake something or other. It's just when the hypocrisy affects something we like that we get al huffy.

Yes it's ridiculous argument for race or religion if you sanctioned those to the letter the world
would not function

To call out Lewis as a hypocrite is laughable if you not prepared to call all the people on earth
go on holidays to the same places

Hypocrisy offends peoples sensibility when it concerns them

...like saying rF2 is a cartoon while oblivious to its physics then in the same breath saying any other sim has good physics :barefoot:
