A bad quali means I can go forwards in the race.
Those of us that have watched any BRDC Formula 4 for the last 2 years will know its been a great success.
Its a British low cost open wheeler category using a space frame chassis and Cosworth tuned Ford 2.0 engines.
Despite their comparatively low cost at appr £30,000 for outright purchase the cars are fast and look good. They have provided utra close racing and have attracted a growing international field.
For 2015 they move to a Tatus sourced carbon fibre chassis.
The 2014 title race was dominated in the first half season by George Russell but the title came down to the final race with 4 contenders.
George Russel won.
Personally I was impressed with his speed and maturity but I wondered how this grid would compare with say Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup?
Well George got his debut drive in Jerez and took pole and the win.
I guess that answered my question.
Keep an eye out for this young guy.
