yeah thanks guys, I know that some of you might not enjoy me hopping form one project to another all the time, but it's better then don't work on anything, because I don't feel like it

there also hasn't been much progress on physics, we're still waiting for some numbers from the race teams, plus some change in Assetto Corsa broke the front suspension, it's now sinking into ground without any change on our part ...

I know I promised to release up to 3 cars this year, and this was one of them, so I'm really hoping that our team can still manage this , but there were some unforseen issues that came up, like the stuff I have to re-do on Primera ( driver suits for example) , but yeah.. I'm sure this will still happen
unless we won't be able to do anything about the physics , which would be sad but nothing I can do about that on my part

You arent the only one with the suspension problem

I heard of no issues with sound for Primera

thanks to our reference capture specialist, Ben Lee, we were able to get a photoscan of actual real life BMW e36, this meant that I had to tweak/change a lot of things on the car (hopefully it didn't messup UV's too badly) , but I have to say that it finally is getting that iconing BMW E36 look
we also discovered that the car was a little wider then it should be ( something like 5%)

something always looked off to me, and surprisingly the width was one of the key factors here, perhaps it was looking better, but not more realistic and after all, that's what we're after

yeah I wasn't that far off, .. yet somehow I think that change really pushed it from "yeah looks about right" to " yep, this is it ! "

so eventhough it's a lot of additional work, it will be well worth it !

and here is the tweaked/updated body,

only area that could use more work are door handles, but unfortunately changing those would require a lot of re-work on the mesh, and I think it's not worth it

camera angle is exactly the same, so all the changes you see are the changes on the model,
different wheel base, track, narrower body and the tweaks to shapes

I wished we could get it for all the cars, and especially engines and cockpits ..but yeah, most likely not gonna happen

heh, I'm really enjoying this photoscanning stuff!! this can make it quite easier to make cars, but man, we need to get this working for cockpit too !

this one won't probably be started anytime soon, since before it, I would like to get the Audi A4 STW/BTCC going, and then there's still the Laguna BTCC, so maybe perhaps after that.

Although I got to say that having a scan can maybe bump this up a bit , ?
what say you ? is this something you would like to have as our next touring car, after BMW gets released?

ill be working on 2 projects concurrently ( at least)

not sure if this will come before Audi A4 that was supposed to be my next car

as far as the Bimmer updates, currently I'm waiting on physics to pickup some speed, I don't feel like pushing on a car that might take quite a while to be released, so I think that I might block-out simple interior and then start another super tourer,

yeah, still have to continue working on my GT projects too! Porsche now got some seriously great photos, answering few questions I had about the interior, so yep, hopefully that will also get overhaul soon
