Bespoke Formula / LMP Steering wheel DIY

Hi Guys,

I made this wheel for Formula and/or LMP cars.
It has a 280 mm diameter.

It has front and back 2mm Carbon fibre plates and a 3d printed frame and a metal connection between rim and QR.
Since I wanted the rim to be sandwiched in between, a lot of measurements needed to be exact. And you have take into account the tolerances of your machines (3D printer and CNC router).

Pleased to say, it has worked exactly as planned :D :

Very nice. I recently got a cheap Ferrari Rim from TM and I am thinking about removing all the central fluff and maybe adding a couple of more rotaries to it. Now we only need a sim that allows for diff adjustment on the fly so we can actually use it.

That's what I did to mine, works great but is a bit of fiddling about, well worth it though. There is plenty of instruction on the web
