Before race do you do anything special

Hi,

Do you do anything special before a race to relax yourself and/or to prepare yourself, if so what ?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

I bet my preparation is different to most.
1. Wake up with huge fright when alarm goes off at 3AM
2. Climb down from ceiling and get out of bed (very relaxed by now lol).
3. Turn on computer and hope like hell I have an internet connection.
4. Go have a quick light breakfast
5. Have a quick shower to try to wake up.
6. Two cans of coke to still try to wake up.
7. What the hell, join race still half alseep.
8. By Race 2 I'm starting to see the screen more clearly.
9. End of race I am now awake and relaxed.
10. Apologise to anyone I hit during race and then take my wife out to a nice formal breakfast at our local cafe.

mine is more
1. sleep some
2. eat some
3. restart pc
4. prepare some magic drinks :):):)
5. race
6. drink while racing (if it is between race 1 & 2 or while having a pitstop in endurance race :))
7. finish

or sometimes when at a friends house:
1. see time
2. try to catch public transport
3. walk to home
4. get home & restart pc.
5. do steps 4 to 7 in above list :)

besides the practise basics (learn track, prepare setup for qualy and race, try out how much fuel needed for race etc), i always go to toilet. :) :) :) :)

it really can make the difference if that 1.5-2 hours you can concentrate on the racing instead of keeping the things inside... :)

oh, and before the race itself warn Rami to put more fuel in the tank. :)

lol at your all guys ....
@cris can you declare the details about your magical drinks ....pls :)
@warren like your point 8

mine is
1.fix my wheel & my pedals hope they will stay stable while i race
3.visit bathroom particularly for endurance race
4.drink tea or water
5.pray always for T1
6.count my heartbeats

- tell my family when I get a phonecall they should say I'm not home
- go to the toilet
- put the Joystick on the desk, and put away all things like papersheets, guitar plectrums to make sure the Joystick isn't standing on them and sliding on the desk.
- bring a bottle of water which I can drink on long straights

This is what I usually do before a race.

- Tell my family im racing for the next two hours, (Tho im sure my lil girl thinks its time for her to play with that big round thing on my desk! kids eh!)
-Go toilet
-Grab a drink
-Take of my jumper (long races are intense!)
-Put on my headphones (Its serious gaming when the headphones go on,Ask my missus)
-Prepare for a nice battle at the back of the grid :) (You dont have to be fast to have fun!)
And Relax, Race on!

1 - grab my g25 wheel from on top of the monitor and attach it to my desk

2 - get my bottle(s) of beer from my fridge

3 - put a sock under 2 weels of my chair so it doesnt move away when i brake

4 - fine tune everything position by doin random things in the pitlane

5 - Race
