Reiza Studios continue their quest to add fine polish to their AMS 2 racing simulation, and today have deployed a second hotfix update since leaving Steam Early Access.
  • AMS 2 V1 released 01.07.2020
  • Second hotfix update since leaving Early Access
  • Time trail leaderboards reset
Having come out of the blocks strongly back on Wednesday with their initial V1 release of Automobilista, the Brazilian development team have remained hard at work responding to community feedback and resolving some of the more minor issues that didn't quite make it in time for the main release window.

The simulation has been under a beta development window for a few months now as Reiza Studios look to get their heads around the new Madness game engine, and having first started out life in closed early access beta status, the popular team behind Game StockCar Extreme and the original AMS title always aimed to get a V1 update out in early 2020, with a robust roadmap of development set to expand into the months ahead.

Now celebrating their second post V1 hotfix update, the Studio have looked to further tweak and improve many of the visual aspects of the simulation, whilst adding new features and functionality to the game as they continue to bring the quality of each car and location to a standardised level.

It is worth noting as part of this update that time trail leader boards have been reset and HUD updates will reset previous customisation.

  • Wiper and windshield animation added to several vehicles
  • AI minor tweaks
  • Improved audio on some cars
Other highlights from the 1.0.0.2 hotfix build of today include the addition of windshield wiper animation on a number of cars already within the game, allowing players to now take advantage of the solid weather implementation within the title. Of those that have been updated, the new 2020 StockCar Brasil Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Cruize are arguably the highlights.

As V1 came with a heavily WIP version of the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit in Australia, this second hotfix release also addresses some of the missing assets from the track model, with several WIP trackside buildings, fences, armco and various track furniture having been included within the circuit surroundings - although it is advised that much of Bathurst is still in progress and will substantially change and improve in the weeks ahead.

But why do you mention PC1, since we are on an AMS2 topic ?

mayebe because its pcars 3D engine no ?? lol

I test update !!

Reiza continue like that !!!!

I love you guys lol

This Games is amazing !!!!!!!

pc2 has been a frustration since its release, you honor this beautiful 3D engine

You have brought your knowledge, your passion, your experience, your love for simracing

We have beauty, speed, physics, FFB
It bodes very well for the future

AMS2 with raceroom and dirt rally 2.0 are my favorite sims, I only play with those since and more and more AMS2 in first position ^^

Bathurst is really improved with the added track side objects.

Maybe im standing alone here, but is it possible to remove the track side objects by reducing the trackdetail in the option menu ?

I really like it how its done in iRacing. If you are testing, there are no tents, spectators, cranes, tv-screens and trucks around the track. Would be more realistic for simulating pre-season testing. ;)

I love the handling and driving experience but the off track penalties are draconian.

In my only online race I was leading at brands hatch when I ran a little wide exiting one of the fast right handers out at the back.

I had to lift a lot so I didn't spin on the grass and lost loads of time and momentum.

When u rejoined I got a message saying I had to slow down. I did, and the message didn't go away. All the other cars passed me and the message was still there. So I quit and won't be trying multilayer for a while.

Only link is the graphic part... The physics can't be compared at any point...

Both built on the same engine: madness engine by Slightly Mad Studios.
edit: It is evident that Reiza used the same approach as PC1 and PC2 in creating the cockpit textures. This could be that both SMS and Reiza were prioritizing memory allocation (if there is such thing :D I'm not a game developer) to car's physics rather than for the "non essentials" car's textures

I like the game because the driving itself is extremly fun, has great visuals and good content already. But i don`t play it so far ....:O_o:

It should`t not be released v1.0 without a big key feature which is the championship mode to singleplayers. So far this mode is a bad joke and useless.

The other major thing is while you drive at the limit and loose the car and you don`t know why. Sometimes you just can`t feel it.

Beside this the game has the potential to become my favorite one someday. Good Job reiza.
(waiting for proper championship mode ;)) Even a poor career like PC2 has would be something.

Jimmy Broadbent didn't seem wowed by it yesterday and I can sort of see his point. Some cars are spot on and others are the sort of thing I'll never touch again. I have no desire to ever drive the Camaro again but the Caterhams and V8s are addictive.
But this is a virtue of this game... the variety will catch the player somewhere. You are not intended to like everything, but just something, no matter how much content is in it.

But, otherwise, a focused game like ACC is a one shoot to be liked. I, personally, am not that found about Blancpain GT3 cars... so, for two years, there was nothing for me to do with that game. Reiza, at least, delivered a lot of out-of-the-box content... and put a lot of quality on everything (even if some models aren't full animated yet and some cars still have placeholder sounds... at least it's all temporary).

I don't understand how people get a good feeling, the ffb is really bad for me.
impossible to find a good setting...
Put that in your my documents/AMS2 folder and select Custom from the ffb menu.

On my Thrustmaster TX I use FFB settings of
82 Gain
45 Low Force Boost
60 FX

Quit simple.....ffb is subjective and a personal preference.
Not liking it yourself doesn't mean others can't.
A little more information goes along way in receiving help aswell.
Wheel, wheel settings, in-game settings etc.
What issue your are having, forces or details your looking for etc. etc
And saying it doesn't feel like game X doesn't really help either lol

What are your thoughts on the TC and ABS settings that are currently active on the GT4 Ginetta? I’m under the impression that these are superfluous and not actually doing anything like they were for some cars during the early access period. I did a few quick tests leaving TC and ABS at their default values and it doesn’t really feel to me like either of them are actually present on the car. Also, the car has nothing listed under electronics in the vehicle selection screens.

I looked at the pages for the G55 GT4 and the G55 SuperCup on Ginetta’s site and there’s no mention of ABS or TC. There’s always the possibility that the real world SuperCup series allows TC and ABS but I couldn’t find any web site for the series…let alone its rulebook…to confirm. It just feels kind of unlikely to me that a series like the Ginetta SuperCup would allow for adding technologies like ABS and TC to the base cars even with spec systems.

Side Note: The G55 SuperCup on Ginetta’s site mentions the gearbox has auto throttle blip. No surprise at all really based on how the car feels and sounds in the game but good to confirm.
