I think this news will raise AC's simulation value for some of it's hardest critics. Or they will simply have to face Porsche's judgement on this.
Well done KUNOS.

Did anyone else recognize this sentence in the announcement by Marco Massarutto:

Maybe this means that some other non-multiplatform title could get one, too? Forza still has its licence, pCARS is also multiplattform. Who else? GT Sports? R3E? Other... or do I read to much out of it? I think the EA exclusive licence is now gone and I don't read this news as KUNOS has instead the licence now exclusive...
You read too much.

Kunos will have the only game multi-platform with Porsche.

Turn 10 has it , but for XOne and PC. Only.

AC will be for PC, XOne and PS4. So right on point for mr. Massarutto. It's not exclusive, but he's stating facts.

So EA probably still has the exclusive rights to Porsche, but Porsche was like "hey we want to do this, so you can have your exclusivity even if EA doesn't agree, this is our part of the say".

Well isn't this something....Nice surprise to be sure! Wow, I didn't expect to see that when I turned on AC today.

I think now the deal is either off with EA or it's not exclusive anymore since I read the likelihood of Porsche renewing that exclusive license was really low. So time to Porsche to cash in into other businesses

Actually I think when Porsche DLC is released people will complain about things like the panel gap is 1mm wider than it should be, or somebody 10 years ago (WOW GTR2 really is 10 years old and I'm still playing it now and then) did a better job with the handling, and they come to a conclusion that AC wastes the license.

Actually I think that's very likely to happen. Only problem is that I don't care

15 years under EA ... I think whoever get the licence can only be improvement :)

McLaren wasn't around by then, but they also had Chevrolet, BMW, Maserati etc.
and Lister Storm ... I wanna see that in sim since GTR Evo ..

Logical step form Porsche point of view

AC is the most complete current sim

iRacing can only do race cars
rF2 is to hipster like
pCars just sucks
in terms of car park probably true .. hard to beat some of those nasty licences ...
