Assetto Corsa Porsche 718 RS Preview.jpg

Following on from several previous images of upcoming Porsche models teased by Kunos Simulazioni, the latest reveal from the studio gives fans our first glimpse of the beautiful Porsche 718 RS, in the form of an early in-game 3D model.

With a total of 24 new Porsche cars due to be added to Assetto Corsa across three separate DLC packages, fans of the German marque can have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. In order to raise a little bit of anticipation for the DLC, Kunos have steadily been teasing several images from a number of the new cars, and the latest 3D model of the 718 RS is indeed a mouth watering prospect.

No official confirmation of exactly which cars will form the three DLC packages have been confirmed, however in a recent tweet, Licencing Manager Marco Massarutto tweeted a picture of the brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup with the #soon hastag, leading to speculation that the latest iteration of the one make racing series will soon become part of the Assetto Corsa car roster.

The fact that you say this tells everyone that you knew you were a little close to the mark with your comments surely?

It is like this around here since AC left early access...well yes I knew that I would provoke some reactions with my post, but that´s how I see it and actually I have no problem with the AC crowd comments.

Besides are you aware how many DLCs and how often your favorite south American developer has planned for? Are you aware that the cost of the season pass can well buy you most of the DLCs release for AC, all of them when on sale?
I gave them money for the crowdfunding campaign and I am pretty happy that I did. I wish I could say the same about the dream packs 1-3.

AC giving free contents and selling DLCs = milking the cash cow and people should stop buying any DLC from any game because DLC is ruining the industry
AMS giving free contents and selling DLCs = great developers and people should support their future development
AC getting Porsche license for quite a few road/race cars but has to advertise SUVs as a result = ruining the sim racing theme
AMS making one "faked Porsche" = risk getting into licensing trouble just to honestly serve the community

I think I'm just wasting my time here. So here is my proposal:

Next time when people post about their opinions about any racing sim, before stating all the recurring stuff like "lacking features" "dumbed down physics" "slow development" "content quality all over the place" "car and track way too expensive" "subscription fee nonsense" "forcing people to pay for skins" "dead multiplayer" "glitchy AI" "no offline championship mode" "rubbish wet physics" "no rain drops" "no night or rain" etc., just say
"I just don't like [INSERT A NAME OF A GAME HERE]" or "I just hate [INSERT DEV NAME HERE]" or "I just don't like anyone who enjoys [INSERT A NAME OF A GAME HERE] because I don't". It is a much more concise and clearer way to convey your ideas. It can save you a lot of trouble typing.

Lets be honest...step back and think!
Please engage brain before you reply....

The three free cars are a very poor choice, no one wants to drive a couple of over weight SUV and a family saloon in a racing game. Who in the right mind would ever want to race such cars? Do the FIA sanction SUV racing? Maybe Mr Ecclestone and Liberty media have an opening for this.

Maybe on Xbone and PS4, where hundreds of cars are on offer, still no one races all the every day rubbish.

Now the other load of Hogwash I hear, Oh it's because Porsche say so.......It is to do with the licence. Does anyone apart from Kunos actually know the truth?

If this is so, please let everyone email Porsche and say, we only want racing cars in a RACING SIM... leave the crap to consoles. Maybe the wankers in marketing will listen...I doubt it, I spent a time in marketing (bunch of self important tossers, much like HR)

Before you start to moan like the little girls you all become, think about what I just said.

I myself love AC, I am looking forward to AC2. I will throw my money at Kunos. for sheer driving please on PC AC is King.

Long live the King.

Oh ps,. come on Kunos how about a few new tracks....
In VR this is Porn......oooh I think I need to change my pants ;-)

We have no idea how expensive Porsche license is and what expanding to consoles did to their finances. In last stream Stefano mentioned they have more people to pay now and DLC's serve that purpose.

But I also understand customers have right to salty about free pack.

Compare Porsche free pack with what they also promised as free pack at some point.
