but are you not getting massive clipping with that? I've just tried it and I am so it's not a good thing, unless clipping is simply to be ignored? #Confused

Nice setting!

I had trouble with drifting mode. The G27 turns to slow to release and catch the wheel. So i changed the degrees of rotation to 450 in the LP and 900 in game.

It worked for me.

I don't get why they can't make wheels a bit faster.

DFP was half as slow, but the G25 is still a bit too slow.

Twice the speed with the same force strength would seem pretty nice for anything car related. Also add in some extra rotations too then you could cover off trucks and other such vehicles nicely.

Are the wheels from Fanatec any better in this regard? Or still too slow to actually be useful as a FF wheel in a decent simulator?

Dave

i had a fanatec csr before (it broke) and the FFB was much smoother. not really faster out of the box - pretty much the same i would say - but with drift settings of 5 on the wheel it was definitely easier to catch drifts and slides with the CSR. the G27 lacks this setting and this makes it much harder and slower to steer your wheel in left-right motions.

I have a inflammation in my left shoulder. I cant drive 900 degrees. I have set the rotation in the profiler at 320. In game options also set 320. When driving the ferrari the steer is way too sensitive. There is no Steering lock to adjust. It seems the game does not recognize 320 degrees...i do not know. The steering wheel is bugging me. There is no option to hide it, only to lock it and or hide hands. Even if the rotation is set to 320, the animation does a full 900.
So far as this beta is, im not impressed. Hopefully this wont go the same way like R3E. This sim has a loooong way to go.

While there are many aspects of AC that have a long way to go - game modes, features, sounds, etc., the driving dynamics and FFB are not among those IMO.

I cant understand how can you drive with 900º. If i use that i crash every single chicane.

Can you tell what's about every option on logitech profile? What mean(in gaming) dumper
Overall effects
Spring effects
Damper effect

etc, etc

I use 900 degrees - no problem at all. Another thing to remember about setting up custom game profiles with a Logitech is that you need to uncheck the "Allow Game to Change Settings" option in the device Global Settings. That should be checked in the AC custom profile only.
