Seemingly coming out of nowhere, Kunos Simulazioni have confirmed the highly anticipated Ferrari 70th Anniversary Assetto Corsa DLC is on its way, releasing this September 19th!

Created to mark the 70th anniversary of the Ferrari brand, the new Assetto Corsa DLC offering will contain some of the most iconic road and racing machines produced by the legendary marque, including plenty of historic content and the 2017 specification Formula One car that currently sits second in the Formula One World Drivers Championship.

As a reminder you can check out the Ferrari Celebration Pack DLC contents below:
  • 1962 250 GTO
  • 1967 330 P4
  • 1967 312/67
  • 1984 288 GTO
  • 2004 F2004
  • 2017 812 Superfast
  • Ferrari SF70H 2017 F1 Car

With Kunos having confirmed the new DLC is just seven days away from a public release on PC (Xbox One and PS4 to follow at a later date), the Italian development team have released a nice new trailer for one of the most spectacular cars included in the pack, the stunning 1962 issue Ferrari 250 GTO, which can be viewed below:

Introducing the Ferrari 250 GTO... The 250 GTO model was the pinnacle of the development of the 250 GT series in competition form, whilst still remaining a road car. It made its public debut at the annual pre-season Ferrari press conference in January 1962, and was the only front-engined model on display, with its monoposto and sports racing counterparts all having a mid-engine configuration. The 250 GTO was the ultimate expression of the Ferrari 250 GT car. It was equally at home on the road or track – perhaps the last dual purpose road/race car produced – and has achieved legendary status amongst aficionados of the marque. With only a relatively small production run of thirty-six cars, and with many of the examples produced having a great racing pedigree, it has become one of the icons of Ferrari's production history, with a revered position in collectors' circles.

Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation from Kunos Simulazioni available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The Ferrari cars are amazing, the sound of the F2004 sets a new bar.
Pretty disapointed in the actual update. I think this is sadly a sign that AC (AC1) is coming to an end and that energies now are being used elsewhere (probably AC2). Still many features people are asking for and not delivered. Whatever happened to the brake temps or even that now long forgotten audio reverb feature which was removed and then was supposed to be coming back?

Great pack, only tried the 812 Superfast, 288 GTO and 330/P4.

Best of the bunch was the 330/P4. Insane handling characteristics for the time this car was made, an 1960s v12 NSX-R, thats what it drives like. The sound I feel could be a bit more vicious with the targa roof and all. But there a small nuances in the sound that make it very very enjoyable as is.

288GTO has turbo lag for days, it's not bad to drive.

812 Superfast stock has understeer and uncontrollable power in the first 3 gears. Really fun to drive and the sound is pretty good, but imo I kinda dont like the engineered downshift blips by Ferrari. Tricky car to drive, insanely fast for what it is. Drove it at Estoril GP and down the straight it almost reaches 300kph, the speed and performance profile these cars are reaching is mind blowing.

Good show @kunos, well done.

PS petition for F355 GTS/Challenge, F50, 550/75 GT1, 333SP :D

Also need to mention that I received an update to AC a few days ago, about 93MB I think. And I have to say that the AI seem to be improved further still. They seem to drive in tighter formation, more realistically I might add. Anyone else notice this? I've not seen anything mentioned in the update release notes.

Hi, I've tried it but I've some problems with the F2004 and SF70 cars at Monza: with the F2004 I can do a hotlap only in 1:26 reaching 345 km/h only in few straights not on the main one were I reach at the end only 320 km/h; with the SF70 during a lap only twice I can exceed the 300km/h. How is it possible? What is wrong? Thank You.

Another excellent and once again fairly priced DLC pack. All the cars look and feel superb in VR. The 250 GTO is a real trip down memory lane for me, my first Ferrari experience and I can definitely say I never once drove it as fast as I can in the game. How did it seem so fast back and planted then and such a handful now? Ah, how things have progressed in terms of tyre grip, braking and the overall power of even average cars. I'm actively looking out for a chance to drive the real Superfast on track now too, that is one incredible machine.

These cars are real works of art once again and when Kunos focus they really do produce something special. Shame the same can't be said for the console version which remains a shadow of the PC version and I've given up on it. I'll just enjoy these cars on PC instead.

When they made brake temps/fade they said it was a feature for the modders who want to use it. However they still gave us this feature in the official cars, but the classic cars, not for the modern road and race cars. This is one of those things that possibly will be in the next AC from the start.

I think there is still some audio reverb, try on tracks like Monza. At the Nordschleife in the corner "Ex-Muhle" you should hear reverb because of the close high walls on each side. Image of that corner. At least every time I pass that corner the sound gets higher.

Sorry, not the same thing I mean. In early access there was distance based reverb. It was removed just before the game went to V1.0 and never came back, they said they had removed it temporarily as it was causing crashes.

F2004
With the rear wing to 5 and front wing to 2 and adjusting the gears (7th to 356kmh you should reach 340+ (I reached 346kph) on the front stretch every lap. Rest is stock setup.

SF70
You need to configure the MGU-K right. For higher topspeed you need to use the Overtake, Topspeed or Hotlap settings of the MGU-K.
With stock setup and all wings to 0, you will go over 300 on every straight(320kph+). With using the DRS you will hit 330kph on the front stretch. For maximum topspeed you have to apply electrical power manually. Then will will hit around 336kph.

Keep in mind that the battery has to be recharged after a few lap when you use overtake or topspeed settings, otherwise you will have no electrical power and you barely hit 300kph.

I looks to me that the SF70 might be not be able to achieve the real life laptimes. Im not the fastest guy but on a quite good lap with ultra softs and low fuel I could not go under 1:26 in Monza. Ricciardo did a 1:23 in race trim. So Im a bit cluesless here.

Thank you very much. I'll try it and let you know. ;-)
