FFB not working try this

Ok so like some others online (maybe not the same wheel base), my CSL DD will only have Forcefeed Back IF i DON'T turn it on until after ACC has been booted up. If I restart the game and the wheel base was left on I will again have no FFB.

It only works for me if the base is always off until after the game has started.

The whole thing around it only being GT3 I don’t get.

Its not the real thing… it never will be… it’s a simulation of racing a car. Some go faster, some go slower, but I’m not sure how that affects the enjoyment.

Specialist games that focus on one type are always going to have a superior results in terms of accuracy and attention to detail. Imagine how much care and attention has gone in to the few cars in ACC versus the crazy number in AMS2, for instance. In the end it’s a value for money exercise. Spread it thinly, or perfect a few.

I’ve been lucky enough to drive a wide range of cars in real life. That’s been a special experience, often mildly disappointing too. It’s nothing like jumping between simulated versions of them though.

Remember, you’re only driving pixels… all the different cars are essential essentially fancy dress. We’re all pretending to drive around exotica.

Now, if someone could make me a specialised game around 60s Jags, Ferraris, Cobras etc… with all the details and immersion of ACC…

Call me crazy, but I think AC is still better than ACC even with the updates. I drove the same car, same track and it just seems better in AC.

Anyone else think the new FFB is worse than before? I have csv2. 5 and now have a huge dead zone in the middle of the steering, the car feels unconnected. I used to be able to do low 17s in 20 min Spa races in the Honda. Now I can't break into the 18s! I know 1.8 makes the laptime slower, but I'm nearly 2 seconds off because I can't feel what the car is doing. I'm having to lift at Blanchimont as the turn in is random with the new FFB.

You need to adjust to the FFB - watch the videos Aris has posted on YouTube for some insight.

It’s not random - it’s just less formulaic - feels much more real and alive.

My feeling is that AC brings more information to the wheel, and especially the feeling of the car under braking and the understeer/oversteer effects are very strong. In addition to that, trail braking is really effective, to the point that I suspect it is a bit "optimistic". This certainly increases the fun factor, as you can drive a car with throttle and brake, flip it in a corner etc. With a good wheel, track day at the Nordschleife in AC is incredibly fun (I strongly recommend trying any supercar with the CSL DD and a round wheel like the ClubSport RS).

ACC on the other hand tries to be more realistic and more complex, which creates a steeper learning curve and allows you to really enjoy the cars only when you are competent enough at driving them. It has a narrower "window" of driving fun, if you want. Around that though there is a complete simulation of the details of each car, very solid racing system with BOP, good netcode, quality tracks, rating etc which AC cannot provide. To me this makes ACC racing way more intense and engaging than AC, and when I am "in the zone" it gives me the sensation I am in a real GT race.

Did a race on Kyalami yesterday, which was a good comparison because I regularly drive it. And man, was I pleasantly surprised! The new tire model is great but you really need to drive a few minutes before you can attack corners. On Kyalami, which is a quite a short track, I needed around 4-5 laps.

My thoughts and prayers immediately went to those who want to try out ACC and especially those who are new to simracing in general. Their learning curve just went sky high. With this update I think ACC has positioned itself more towards the competition market and less in favor of the casual simracer.

Hi everyone. I have issue with last update ACC . Doesn't work sins. Look
