Kunos Simulazioni have released another small update for Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Bringing the latest build version to 0.7.1 status, the hotfix deployed today addresses some minor issues that have arisen as part of the major 0.7 build release of yesterday, plus a few further little enhancements to the simulation.

SRO E-Sport GT Series - Silver Qualification Event Open - Details HERE.

Highlights from the hotfix, available the next time players restart their Steam client, include fixes the new MFD feature, weather adjustments and other minor but important changes as detailed below.

V0.7.1 Update Notes:
  • Fixed a bug in some tracks where pitwall proximity would invalidate the lap.
  • Removed penalty audio message at the end of the race.
  • Fixed incorrect #26 Special Event description.
  • Fix for MFD losing focus after a pitstop.
  • Fix for potential setup initialization issues when changing game modes.
  • Fix for Real-Time display showing lapped entries in non-race sessions.
  • Missed changelog entry from initial release: default keyboard mappings have been changed to free up the arrow keys for MFD navigation.
  • Custom mapping for various controllers will be implemented at a later time. Thank you for your patience.
  • Fixed auxiliary light mesh not fitting the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.
  • Fix for lack of expected rain probability with high variability percentages when setting high cloud density and dry track surface.
  • Repair time added to teleport during race.
  • Fixed wrong damage message after teleporting to pit.
  • Enabled 10 laps telemetry saving by default on Huracan GT3 monza preset setups.
  • NOTE regarding old setups: setups created in older builds will have extreme brake duct settings and may cause braking issues and overheating. Please adjust accordingly.
  • NOTE regarding control presets: old control presets created in previous versions may cause issues. It is recommended to delete your old controls.json in Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Config/ and start from scratch.

Quadruples please....

Triples will soon be outdated, ultrawide single screens will make tripple screens obsolete.

Now where are my disagree likes.

They need to make them ultradupersuper wide. The current ones are still not big enough. They need to make one that is at least equivalent to three 27" 1440p Gsync monitors, then I am sold. Imagine the size of the box for a monitor that size.

Samsung CRG9 - here you go! ;)

The new Samsung CRG9 ultra-wide display is based on the company’s new curved VA panel featuring a so-called 'dual QHD' resolution (5120×1440), a 1000 nits peak brightness, 178º/178º vertical/horizontal viewing angles, a 4 ms response time, and a 120 Hz refresh rate - perfect for sim racing!

VR is still work-in-progress? Alright, I'll wait for another major update before I try.
Why you chose just one post from a multitude of posts?
For example this:
What’s wrong with VR?
Apart from the information widgets missing info which is easily rectified I think it’s great.
You trust some strangers from the internet ????? Maybe some of them don't want others enjoy the beautiful experience which is VR in ACC (first one). Or, maybe, they want to make you to buy a VR headset just to spend money for something just don't work and have fun of you (the second one).
Now the BIG question .... Why don't try YOURSELF????
No problem. IT IS YOUR LOSE

Jokes aside I always admired the drive of Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital to include new tech to improve simracing on console hardware.
I was racing on a triple screen setup ever since Granturismo 2 included this incredible feature (using three consoles + 3 game copies) - to top it off GT2 even allowed for up to 5 (F I V E !!!) consoles to be linked up to run a true 5 screen setup (I might remember wrong and the 5 screen setup was added in GT3 or 4).

Now with PC racing sims that was never even possible.

I use single 27 currently, without any of helicorsa nursing have no real troubles racing cleanly.

Double that and it would just simply enough. Unless you want to check mirror blindspots while racing.

I am sure you are just joking / trolling. I am racing on a triple screen 27" setup and the difference in spatial awareness and ability to judge distance and cornering compared to a single screen or even a single projection (uncorrected) triple screen setup is worlds apart.

Granted our puny triple screen setups with these tiny screens are far from ideal - the ultimate setup surely has always been a three projector setup on a full live sized curved screen (basically what all high budget racing teams running their own simulator facility are using).

Now VR is pretty cool as it does have most advantages of triple screen setups but adds a third dimension to it. Unfortunately this comes currently at the cost of low resolution, getting eye cancer and looking like a dork.

Triple screen it stays and I hope the screens I have setup still are breaking soon so I can move on to either higher spec larger screens (higher res, higher refresh, larger size, slimmer bezels) or ultimately to a large curved projector screen with projectors - the space is reserved for that already ;-)

Now the one single major issues with single ultrawide screens as some people propose is that it is simply impossible currently (even with the largest consumer grade sizes available) to fit a proper cockpit view and retain the illusion of a life sized cockpit and still be able to see your dashboard, and mirrors sufficiently as of the very limited vertical dimension at these aspect ratios hence those screens being entirely useless for sim racing if a sufficient wraparound view at the illusion of life sized imaging is to be preserved.

There is a reason why with 2019 technology the big teams are still running what are essentially triple screen setups.
Hopefully that will change and VR will develop into a system that can be used in comfort, improves eye safety and is at least on par in terms of resolution, dynamic range and color accuracy to high end screens.

Not sure how you came up with that response from my post, but I have been racing in VR since the DK2 days and now use a Rift since the day it came out.
I only EVER race in VR and could never go back to monitors.
I was asking what issues the poster had with VR, so see if I could help.

The issue with the HUD (not widget as I said earlier) is that some of the info is missing (driver names to the left and time at the top), unless you change the resolution scale to anything other than 100%. The problem is, you can only set this to 100% if you have VR pixel density turned up (which I do, to 150%) to give as sharper image. So you either have all the info or a sharper image.

No I was serious, practically I found small single screen with compromised FOV, and without any helicorsa or crew chief distractions totally usable for racing. There are some situations when I just don't see a car on the side, and I need to guess where it is, but generally only leaving a bit of space always works and I can race cleanly but still competitive. Basically you just need to look at the mirrors often, and be able to predict where the other car will be, when it will get into your blindspot on the side.

Tripples are better, but ultrawide would be just enough, for most simracers. Tripple screen gives much more than most need IMO

Speaking of VR, cancer is quite bold statement, but I think eyes health should totally be a concern of those who use it a lot, more people should talk about it.

I wonder where you look when you drive the car.

And the difference is not the subject, but practicality of it.

Ok i will tell you based in my experience, when you have triples you have a better fov consequently you have a better sense of speed and you can have a better approach to a corner, yes you can see better the mirrors and where is the maldonados next to you but in slow corners for example you can look way better to a apex and yes you turn your head to the apex, in a single monitor you only turn sligthly your eyes and to finalize the sense of immersion its in another level. The only downside is that you will need a better computer and you will need more space to your rig, that's it.

Any sign of the FFB being worked on? The feeling of when the car is sliding is very “on off” and not as progressive or as detailed in any way like AC.

I can work with it, and can interpret it ok, but it seems like when the rear slides there is just one force and it’s the same force regardless of what kind of slide it is.

Watch less of Gamer Muscle :D AC FFB is definitely not the best, it may be most helpful, but it is not very realistic.

ACC was miles ahead right from first release. And everyone wants to go back to AC, because it is easier.
