Reiza Studios have dropped a very nice couple of Twitter messages this evening, showing off some interesting content making its way to the simulation.
  • BMW M3 E30, Lotus 23, Mini Cooper 1965 confirmed.
  • Kart track updates in development.
  • Further content to be revealed.

Well, these are a nice surprise! Ahead of the usual end of month roadmap posting, Reiza Studios have revealed a bunch of new content is due to make its way into the simulation in the very near future - with the promise of yet more to come as part of the next build update.

Yes you've seen it right, the historic collection of cars is set to be expanded yet further with the inclusion of machinery from BMW, Lotus and Mini previewed within the tweet, potentially forming part of the upcoming touring car pack DLC that has previously been revealed by the studio.

As well as goodness from the world of old school racers, Reiza have also confirmed two of their kart venues will be heading into AMS 2 very soon, with work currently underway to bring the Buskerud and Speedland to the sim in the very near future, previews of which you can see below:

Sounds like a good month ahead for Automobilista 2 fans!

I am actually becoming afraid that there is not enough people thinking like us, and it is kinda sad. I wrote something similar on rF2 forum, now that 488 came out. So many people praising this car as something special, the best car in all of the sims. Took it for a spin, I was like ok, ok it is automatic but i will manage. Almost mate to the 3rd lap on Nordsleife and just died of boredom. And now this 488 will just sit there along with other GT3 cars I have in rF2 never to be driven again.

Okay, since you have no interest in GT3 cars in AMS2 then no one else should? :cautious:

At least you have the right idea, though. If you don't want to use the car in the sim then don't use it.

No one ever said that. We were just talking about GT3 cars being over saturated and boring to us personalty and how we wish there are more official older manual cars to drive.

Apparently you did not read the post that you were agreeing with? @kondor999 posted specifically that he did not want them in the game

Just as long as they don’t add GT3 cars, I’m happy.

What do you care if they are in the game or not? If you don't want to drive them, don't drive them.

Perhaps it's his way of saying that he'd rather the content developers spend their time on something a little more unique? I can't say that I disagree with that, to be perfectly honest. I don't think we really need more GT3's given that they're already in pretty much every other current sim already. That said, they're free so I'm not going to whine about it.

The update is now scheduled to go live on Friday October 2nd.
It is October 2nd. AMS 2 updates usually come pretty late for EU timezones, and it's not even 10pm UTC yet.

Yes that is truth, I did agreed with him but that doesn't mean I personally mind if GT3 cars are in the sim. Especially as long as I can get at least some of the classic cars.

Understood, but I have great faith in Reiza that they will do their usual top notch work and make the GT3's a lot 'livelier' than in the other sims. Every car in AMS2 is just so alive behind the wheel, I'm hoping to see that in the new cars.

I completely understand @jhimlahey complaints about the 'automatic' GT3s. Moving from AMS2 to ACC is almost absurd, the ability to come out of the corners in ACC and just mash the throttle without a care in the world. AMS2 you need to really work that throttle all around the circuit. Again, I'm hoping for a bit more of that with the GT3s. Time will tell!

That's a good point, surely I will try that. Although. this AMS2 update is a dream come truth! :D
Best update ever lads. Gonna be happy weekend!
