Sounds awesome. But please for Spa, take the F1 layout of 1969 or 1971, in 1970 there was a chicane at Malmedy to slow them down. Group C will be very nice and maybe Group B in the Adrenaline pack.
In terms of historic variations of included circuits, I really hope for Ibarra. And I guess, we can hope for IndyCar, CART and NASCAR.
For me, only 2 circuits are missing for being very close to perfect (perfect is not possible ;) ): Nordschleife (no matter which version) and Rouen (I love the first sector).

No, rF2 tracks are $15 here in Australia, well ranging from $13 to $20 but I just averaged to $15!
you're right, but (i guess) S397 DLC costs 25 AUD and AMS2 DLC will cost from 15 AUD - 30 AUD. no matter how you turn it, both are very very cheap ;)

Hey - would someone be so kind to tell me what extra cars and tracks I will still get for free in my EA version of AMS2.
The reason is that (I think) its a bit confusing what extras I will have to pay for and what not.

ByTheWay: Looking extremely forward to the different historic versions of Silverstone - like the one from 199ties which is only launched from iRacing.
The red one if I remember right;)

After AMS 1 was heavily underrated by a lot because people keep thinking it's rFactor 2.5 or so. I think AMS 2 is going to be THE sim everyone has to drive. However, if someone want being competitive online there's iRacing, but AMS 2 will take AC's place as most popular Sim these years.

I just read the post again here. Yeah, baby, yeah! Most people loving what's coming for AMS 2 in the near
future - I like that.

Dreamy list indeed, especially with the addtion of the vintage touring cars from the 60s to the 90s. I can't wait!

And with the inclusion of north american tracks, wouldn't it be perfect if they also release old american muscle cars, GT legends and Trans-Am cars to match them? Imagine that... wouldn't this become the perfect Sim? That would be a dream come true.

I think Reiza has access to SMS assets but it seemed like it is mostly trackside assets. I guess we might see more of the cars when the AMG GT3, or possibly Ginetta cars comes to AMS.

A lot of tracks Reiza took, namely Spa, Bathurst and Silverstone in AMS2 are made in Pcars 1 where the track mesh isn't as good as the new tracks in pcars 2. I would prefer if they remodelled it from scratch. I think some of the trackside assets will be reused in AMS2.

You can't tear out the road mesh and replace it, it is probably better if they remake it at the end. Considering SMS tracks were made in 2010 for Pcars 1 where the current track had changed.
We don’t exactly have direct access to SMS assets and they’re not in any way obligated to supply them to us, but we do have a relationship that allows for reasonable requests :) they have supplied a handful of track models and we have also given them a few of our own in return. With the exception of Azure tho we do model all our tracks and surrounding terrain from scratch, only using some of their trackside objects.

On the car front they have been even more supportive - we have over 50 cars to be added to AMS2 in the coming months and about a third of them are based on models supplied by SMS.. They’ll obviously feature in AMS2 with our sounds and physics but these 3d models give us an invaluable jumpstart, and it’s also a big factor in us being able to release them as free additional content and make that work financially. SMS has also introduced us to several of the licensors these assets relate to, providing a big boost to our own relationships with these brands.

We evidently have been working hard but we have a lot to be grateful for in our relationship with SMS - we’d not be in the position to fulfill these ambitious plans without their support.

Naturally they stand to benefit from whatever success we achieve with AMS2, but I’d hope every sim racer is able to nurture some appreciation for how exceptional it is for a studio of their success to hand their technology and a number of assets to another small studio like ours and let we run with it as we see fit.

AMS2 could very possibly come through as the sim we've been dreaming of all these years.
FWIW it will certainly be the sim I’ve been dreaming of for many years :p

Nice new tracks and cars but what about the season/career mode? Did I miss this or are you guys still working on it for V 1.0?

Over 50 cars. Coming months. I am so glad I ordered a ts pc racer and made sure to grab the season pass. This sim is already amazing and it seems like its going to be the sim of my dreams. Still hoping and praying for a laser scanned nordschleife as I absolutely love hotlapping that sim and since AC feels dead to me now and I don't want to spend the money on Rfactor 2, this is looking to be the only real opportunity any time soon. Overall I am even more excited than I already was and cannot wait for all this. Thanks so much Reiza for this amazing sim.

50 cars coming? Wow that’s crazy. I have to admit, the decision to work with SMS on the Madness engine is really paying off and was definitely the right call. PCars 2 had a pretty great car list, if I remember rightly - I particularly loved the Ginettas in that, so hope we will get those. And yes, the Minis please!
