I was slightly annoyed by some 3D objects popping up slightly later on a few great tracks (2 fences here) and came across this useful tweak, it won't create any mismatches and has only upsides if you're not running an ancient PC:

To significantly increase draw distance of 3D objects on all tracks you should use a higher "LODMultiplier" value in the "" file.

Go to "GameData\Vehicles\HISTORIC GT\HISTORICAL FIA GT", open the .cam file (there's only one).

The default setting is: LODMultiplier=(1.00000)
I changed it to: LODMultiplier=(10.00000)

Be sure to change the multiplier for the appropriate view you are using, changing multipliers for hood view will have no effect in cockpit.

This is easily done in a few seconds, fixed all 3D pop ups on all tracks for me, didn't have a noticable impact on fps and causes no mismatches online. If your pc struggles to run rFactor at decent framerates in the first place, you might want to skip this or use a lower value than i did though.

Major winter storm on it's way, with gusts up to 110 km/hr so I will wait and see if I will power or even a house before signing up @Yves Larose @Jarek Kostowski

PS I read the notice about the new membership upgrades. Just wondering if you guys know if one can determine on the site somewhere when one's membership will expire ( other than checking my PayPal account ). Also where do I go on here to renewal my membership.....I have been searching for the place but with no success....senior moment.

Thanks for any help

Another good one! Complements to Jarek and Yves for the track/car combo, it was great, and made for some really competitive, close racing. Screwed up my start in Race 1, as I could not see the lights from my start box! ( sorry Denis ) However, had an epic battle with Jack, and Jarek who was overtaking after flirtation with tires...
Race 2, drove off the track in turn two at the start, but then was able to recover some ground as the race progressed. Congrates to Stig and Jarek for the wins, well deserved and thanks to everyone who came out, hope to see you Thursday for the Alfa 2000 GTAm!

Thanks for setting up the event Jarek.

Like Philip said a great combo .... the car and track were made for each other. Looking at replay of race 1 I feel that Jarek was being very careful not to mess me up because I think he could have passed me at several situations but decided not to push it...the race seemed to go on for ever...pressure of the situation I quess.

Race 2. Had a scary start ... no force feedback. I had to pull off to the side and enable it again but coming to the corkscrew ( my term for quick left down hill ... quick right down hill ) of lap one ..lots of tire smoke ....from front cars.... and I got a little lost .... piled the brake just in time as I hit straight on the second pile of solid tires. No Engine damage but it took some work to get back on track. Car damage...went to pits ....163 seconds. I think now I should have just did a front left tire change and disabled the car repair but at the time I thought that I car had more troubles than a flat tire.
Cheers to all drivers. Grats to podiums.

Thanks guys, enjoyed that one aswell but to be fair, the Alfas are fun almost everywhere :).

@Jack Smith you had good pace and occupied the racing line nicely, i was a tiny bit faster but not fast enough to risk silly moves or go around the outside. So i enjoyed the battle and waited for a good opportunity to go inside.
For me the race flew by in a minute.
