Adblock detected warning

I keep getting adblock detected note in GSC and Ftruck mod section release threads, but for example in Race07 and rFacto2 sections nothing. I don't have any adblockers installed on my laptop.
Removing browsing history and cookies does nothing. Any ideas?

How it really looks

That can't be your office Bram, not a sign of ashtrays anywhere. :p

Thats not possible as the message only gets triggered while adblockers are being actively interfering with displaying any creatives.

Guys i have IE, FF, Chrome, Opera and Safari browsers to test the site and it works all fine here with all of them.

Must have something to do with that addon you have installed.

Yes. Maybe. But it can't be THE solution to deinstall Adblock completely. It is a very useful addon for every browser.
Even if i understand the requirements for Ads to pay the server bills, but the Racedepartment forum should also work with an installed but deactivated Adblock addon.

Its a very useful addon for you but i am sure many webmasters that need to pay their bills at the end of the month will disagree with you.

We haven't changed anything on that particular part of the forum so I can't help you with it. Best to direct your adblock questions to the creator of this addon as they have obviously changed something.

Found a solution. It's not Adblock alone. I have also installed the NoScript-Addon for Firefox, and with this addon i have blocked "googlesyndication.com". Unblocking this site makes the Racedepartment-Forum work as it should.

BTW .... these addons are not only to piss some webmasters off, but for security reasons and to avoid annoying scripts (maybe malware or phishing scripts) running invisible in your browser. And positive side effect: Faster browser.

True but you can always whitelist RD in these plugins.

I too am getting this problem. Running the most current Firefox, Adblock Plus, and No-Script.
I understand the need to pay the bills, and I'm fine with disabling Adblock and allowing all scripts for Racedepartment.com ... however, even doing this I STILL get the warning.
One thing I notice is that every time I enable all scripts on the page, there's STILL more scripts that come up as blocked. It's like every time the page loads, there's yet MORE new scripts. Over and over.
I don't mind disabling these for Racedepartment, but c'mon guys!! Please stop blaming the addons and maybe take a look at what might be causing this issue from your end.

EDIT: like magic, I posted this message and went back to Race 07 mods/downloads and *POOF* it stopped happening. weird.

EDIT EDIT: okay, it started happening again. it varies from download to download it seems. on one download page alone I counted 22 scripts trying to run. Adblock is fully disabled for Racedepartment, as you requested. Perhaps it IS the scripts that are trying to run? And again I noticed that every time I enable all scripts on the page, there's yet more, different scripts that again need to be enabled. .. Perhaps therein lies the problem.

It didn't start "again". This script has been applied months ago and never changed since.

The only people that are having problems seem to be those that have adblocks running. Get rid of it and you are fine.

DUDE!! Don't tell me or anyone else how to browse the internet. That is absolutely NONE of your business Bram.
There's a-million-and-one perfectly good and legitimate reasons to run adblock and noscript. If you don't want us to run them on THIS site, that's fine with me .. I respect and very much like this site, so I don't have a problem with that.
However, there's plenty of sites out there that are virtually useless, horribly slow, and potentially malware-ridden where it's not only fine to run adblock and noscript, it's almost a requirement for a good browsing experience.
News sites, porn, blogs .. you name it! .. Not all sites are benign man. So don't go giving us some high-horse BS about "Get rid of it and you are fine."
NOT cool at all.
..
EDIT: and when I stated that it had started happening again, I was referring to for me, that day, within an hour ... It had stopped, then it started again. I notice also that it only happens on SOME of the downloads, not all.
Instead of telling us to stop running perfectly legitimate add-ons, how bout maybe consider that there IS some problem on your end.

First of all you don't need to "dude" me and i am not telling you how to browse the internet other than my own site you are a guest on at the moment.

The only answer I can give to solve issues is not using a adblock software. Nothing BS or high horse (oh hello) about it.

The script is only active in the parts of the site where we host content ourselves and are having costs. That means not the forum itself where only typed words can be found.

That you are subject to malware on porn and other websites is not really my problem.

I find it humorous that, considering your clear anti-adblock stance, the advertisement I see now at the bottom of this page is for adblock software.
Just because this is your site and I'm a guest here doesn't give you the right to tell me or anyone else to stop running adblock software altogether. As I said, I don't have a problem disabling it for RaceDepartment, and have done so.
I'm well aware that the no-adblock restriction applies only to the downloads section. If you noticed in my post tho, you'll see how I mentioned that it only seems to happen on SOME download pages, not all.
"Don't use adblock" is no answer to the issue at hand.
