3070 gpu running (3) 1440p monitors

I've been doing a ton of research on the sim build I'm doing and the GPU and monitor portion is getting to be an issue for me. I ordered a PC with a 3070 GPU and planned on running (3) 1440p monitors but have been reading mixed reviews. Some say yes and some say no. I talked with tech support at Nvidia and he said it would work no problem. I asked if the FPS would be acceptable running a sim racing game and he said it was a non factor. My CPU is a Rayzen 5 5600xt if it matters. I'm not a gammer so I'm not sure what to expect. What's the worse case scenario if I run the 1440's over the 1080's?

I have triple 1440p displays and run them with an RTX 2070. I am happy with the performance until the 30x0’s become available in a few years. A 3070 will create outstanding visuals.

Hello,

I briefly ran triple 1440p displays with a 3070. Was absolutely fine.

Don't expect to get wonderful performance in ACC on epic settings but then I don't think any current GPU can run that title particularly well maxed out.

Good luck finding a card !

Thanks for the feedback. I ordered the computer from Corsair and it looks like it's going to be a few more weeks before it gets here.

The 3070 has basically the same performance as the 2080ti. Maybe you should look for some reviews for 1440p triples with that card.

The major difference is 12gb VS 8gb vram, which might becomes a small issue when running that many pixels.

But turning down a few settings here and there should get it running very nicely :)

For overall Pixel comparison:
1440p triples = 11 mio pixels
Single 4k = 8.3 mio pixels
1080p triples = 6.2 mio pixels

So it's really a lot of pixels with 1440p triples but I would go for them too, since the clarity and aliasing/pixel crawling is better.

I went from single 1920x1080, 27" to single 3440x1440, 34" (but same height as 27"!).

I would never go back to 1080p...

So overall: it will be totally fine! Nobody would question a 2080ti! Even today!

But games like acc will tear down any gpu, even 3090, when you put everything to the max settings.
And you barely see a visual difference anyway as soon as you don't need low-med settings :)

Sorry for the late response. Yes I did go with the 3070 and it works fine IMO. I'm new to gaming so my opinion might not mean much. I've only raced AI on iracing and so far it's performed pretty well.
