Anyway, I do know what you mean.
Haha I was thinking the same, you have to run pretty damn wide in t1 before you get pinged and tbh running wide there at all doesn't net any real time gain.
Overtaking is going to be tough though thats for sure, qualifying and strategy will be interesting, less then 24 hours till race time
Absolute gold there Andrew, thanks a heap man
Have you tried it with worn tyres, two-wide and a small contact? Good luck to keep it in track.
No damn time zones lol
Welllllll don't do it 4 times that's the cut limit before you'll get a penalty isn't it?
I got a few cuts at the beginning, but once you know were you get them, I don't find it is a problem… I can see people getting off track because of a contact, yes. But not 4 times! And as mentioned, you can avoid a penalty if you lift off; you get the warning when you go full throttle on the grass and gain time. Using the in-game detection should encourage people to be a bit more careful maybe; it is a long race, no need to go 2 wide and make contact in every corner and chicane. Damage is set at 50% by the way, not sure how many noticed that!
I find the system pretty well done: it is the same rule for everyone. I cannot imagine the staff reviewing the quali and 80 mn race of 27 drivers, that would be an insane amount of work!
This is only my opinion, I'm not trying to convince you Tamas!
It's completely fine Alex, it's a debate, not a fight. I just brought a topic on the table, and based on the responses I might be the only one worrying about this.
Based on some Mini Fridays with the cut-detection, it was very easy to get warnings even in those not seriously competitive events. Reiza implemented the option for custom set penalty limits for a reason, and I'd definitely be very pissed if I got a penalty for an accident or honest mistake, as no official reviews will give those positions back. While with it turned off/limit increased, the option is still there to get punished post-race. Just my two cents.
Anyway, an official clarification and rule update would be nice, to avoid any frustration later.
I try to enter the server but session is closed
Too bad the server isn't set up for a long practice session. Even when one person is on and a session runs out, it takes two votes to reset. Exiting and returning doesn't help.
I think you can set the minimum amount of voters required to 1. Nonetheless, I just did a full race simulation because of not being able to restart the weekend.
@KoshaPashkin You can race tonight
"Join timed out" I can't get in
restart router?? skin pack installed??
Make sure you double check the skinpack and login with the password provided via the conversation message.
Timing out mostly means a wrong password
I couldn't even enter a password. The server doesn't even have the password locked icon and has been showing that there is only 1 player in the server. I can use the skinpack offline, I'm pretty sure that's also correct.
Well, I won't be racing. I tried validating the game through Steam, and still nothing.
Are you sure you are firing up automobilista and not the beta or another game?
Server has been up all week to test and practice to avoid such last minute issues.
Filter on drivers and you see another one with 20plus on them
BIIIIG thank you to Steve Kenwood.
man that was awesome
