This Saturday, the first All-Electric single seater racing series kicks off in China. The cars have been testing for the past year at Donington Park in the United Kingdom.

One interesting new feature is the Fan Boost. Fans vote for their favourite driver, and before each race, 3 drivers get announced as the winners and get awarded a 5 second boost of 30kW (equivalent to 40BHP).

So, who will you vote for? How do you think the season will go? Do you think the series will work?

Probably no one. Too many good names :D

Conway, Trulli, Heidfeld, Lalli ( :D ), Bird.

But I am going for Conway. The guy has great talent.

PS: Arrrgg Replaced by Oriol. Trulli then :D

The thing is, you can change your vote each round, and pretty close to the race start, so you could see who's highest in quali and then vote for them.

The fan boost isn't "interesting". It's just.. awful. One of the worst idea's ever to be implemented in any form of motorsport ever.
It's an idea that should be given a chance I think. It is a way of getting the fans directly involved. Whether it'll work is another thing, but we'll see.

@Shane Butler

I agree in a way, It's getting the fans involved, and potentially making the drivers lose :p

There are many other ways they can get fans involved interactively ;)

Theoretically, the Fanboost winner could crash out on the first lap of every race, rendering the whole thing moot and in no way affecting the outcome of the race.

I'd probably vote for DJ Squire or Bruno in this field, if at all possible I'd -1 Piquet every round.

Hoping for a Heidfeld Podium
