2008 Nations Grand Prix

Yoeri and I discussed a possible Nations Cup for Formula BMW this week when we were in Pau. It is a very very complex setting to organise a decent league in RD style for it. But i wanted to let you know that we are on it (brainstormphase, no promisses yet). But please continue with this thread and see what comes out!

Hows about PRE PRE Qualify...

Everyone interested registers... teams at this point not decided.

Everyone registered sets a time and then grid split into three. Teams must be made of 6 representative 2 from each pot.

2 drivers are nominated per event and cannot do back to back events.

Limit driver entries: ie: If event is over 6 races, drivers can only drive max of 2. etc... stops using top ranked drivers every race.

Those that cannot drive/are not chosen for their county could drive for an adopted country (this is supposed to be a fun event so why limit people who are interested?)

I suggest some these tracks:

- Montreál
- Assen
- Zolder
- Monaco
- Norisring
- Mugello
- Okayama
- Melbourne
- Shanghai
- Kyalami
- Sepang
- Interlagos
- Indianapolis

Some tracks spread all over the world to make it some more like a Nation Cup Also I suggest some 'new downloadable tracks'.

As for the cars.. Formula BMW's Hard to handle, great fun!

I personally hate driving the FBMW's there's just no middle ground at all.
I'd much prefer the F3000's or to be different the Caterhams..

Tracks, I'd love to see Pau or Porto.

I would add a voice of support for Simons Caterham suggestion,a much under used superb class in this game,and also with the UK being divided into the 4 seperate countries,surely a UK track will be involved somwhere,maybe a home race for once in my life at Knockhill? :alla: :jumping:.
