End of story for McLaren and Formula 1......Welcome Total Boredom :( :(

Really strange story. First McLaren made mistakes, but doesn't get punished. Now they get killed with the guillotine..... Thanks to Ferrari IMO.

Formula 1 will never be the same again...

False. Or at least not official. Autosport have provided a 'clarification' now, saying that it was one of the options being considered.

BBC News 24 (very reputable) are outside the court and nothing has happened yet, let's wait until some press releases come out.

Questions remains... McLaren still have contracts with their sponsors and they wouldn't ever agree on a GP without McLaren since they (team and sponsors) depend on each other. No McLaren cars on the track means no commercials and that would make the sponsors pretty fired-up. Probably the alternative judgement of punishing McLaren means they will still race every race, and given the possibility of winning races, but the points won't count in the end. Sending McLaren back home would be a HUGE disaster for the whole sport no matter how justice is supposed to be clearified here.
Furthermore... Alonso and Flavio are high-fiving each other now :)
Nevertheless... all other teams are lining up behind Hamilton as well.

In the end...Kimi is the biggest winner in all this. :first:

This whole act is just good for mclaren. In the end they wont get punished. Everybody is focussing on the F1 circus and that is just what they wanted :)

Expelling an institution like McLaren would be a disaster.

It is absurd that they have to pay 100 milion dollar.
It looks to me that the fia is out for the money of Mclaren.
The whole F1 "circus" is a big joke.

Well, and i gues the sales price for the new C-Class has gone up 10%.

Wait a second...

It's not 100 million $, that's the total amount counting the loss of $$$ you earn winning constructors championship (around 60 million $), so the real amount they have to pay is around 30-40 million $.

30-40 million $ is not like ruin for McLaren.

Cya!.

Alonso exit by mercedes

The wheels are now fully in motion regarding Fernando Alonso's seemingly inevitable departure from McLaren after Sunday's Brazilian grand prix.

It is reported by the German newspaper Bild-Zeitung that the executive board of the team's majority shareholder and carmaker partner Mercedes-Benz have ruled in Stuttgart that the Spaniard should not represent their brand in 2008.

26-year-old Alonso's current McLaren contract runs for another year, but following the tumultuous events of this season he had been linked with either a sabbatical or a move to another team.
