Still can't watch this movie without feeling miserable even after 14 years have passed!

Also Ratzenberger lost his life after crashing his Simtek :(

Only lucky guy was Rubens:

I feel the same. My late farther and I were great Senna fan's (I am still ) and that day was the first time I saw my dad shed a tear, I was 22.
WOW.
:(

Checked these vids for the F1 race this season. A great loss, but all my hope goes to his cousin Bruno Senna.
Quote from A. Senna: "If you think I'm quick, wait till you see my cousin (Bruno)"

I remember those crashes as yesterday. Burned into my eyes 14 years ago.
Tragedy all weekend. Loss of many lives. If I am correct also some in public died because of the huge start crash.

Yeh, I was 2, so I don't remember him at all.
Senna's death turned the racing world upside down, and it was a shame that it was until the death of a fine racing driver that safety became a big issue.
It was very saddening to hear that in Senna's car, he had an Austrian flag, which he planned to wave when the race ended, to commemorate Ratzenberger. In a way, you have to be thankful that such a man ever lived, to grace the F1 world, and entertain and give hope to many many people.

The day racing changed...

What a dark weekend that was. I collect minatures and have sennas car from that year. It has an empty seat with just the seatbelts draped in it. reminds me everytime i look at it of the horrific incident.

Yesterday , i watched a documentary from NG channel
it shows the reason why Senna die..
what a bad day in F1....

The first thing I remember about F1 is the Prost-Senna rivalry when I was just a kid.

I did not even particularly like him since I was rooting for Prost and like most kids, when you are rooting for somebody you want him to win all the time... and Senna was obviously getting in the way of my hopes.

In 94, i was 15, a little older and more conscious of what a great race car driver Senna was. I did not see the race that day, I had a tennis tournament and I heard about the accident in the car listening to the radio on the way home. He was not officially dead yet, he was in a coma when I first heard the news. But as we were pulling in, they finally announced he had left us for good.

And I cried...
