1080ti + 1440p triples?

Hi all,

Currently use a 55" 4k tv as my sim screen. Running at its native resolution with high settings on most sims runs well with my 1080ti. I purchased a Samsung CRG9 ultra-wide but wasn't that impressed so im wanting to go down the triple monitor route.

Ideally looking for 27+ screens nothing less than 27" Ideally 30". Does anyone know will a 1080ti run triple 1440p monitors or am i best to stick to 1080p?

Thanks

rf2, ams, ac 60hz should be ok, i have 1080ti in SLI at stable 100hz

acc, SLI scaling was not working so have not any relevant numbers, but doubt 60hz with high settings possible

It might also depend on the games you want to run and the compromises you're willing to make. In terms of resolution, three 1440p monitors equals 11+ megapixels vs 4K @ 8.2mp (or 2560x1080x3 Ultrawide...).

You might be better off with one double-wide 1440p monitor, e.g. Samsung CRG90.

Same principles are triple screen but only 2x the pixels. And less software trouble.

Dud, he already has or had a Samsung CRG90, my interest is why he did not get
on with it.
It is probably the next monitor I am looking towards:)

Looking at the ultra wide 49" 32:9 screen it would give for example FOV at 100 degree compared to 60 degree on 27" 16:9. Triples 3x27" same distance close to 180 degree FOV.

Another "problem", there is no good support in-game for wide or curved so the picture might get that stretched look.

But on downside for triples, they have the multi-view requirement, border, expensive, space, mounting and requires more GPU for the same result.
