1080 to a 1080ti Worth it?

Presently running an i7-7700 and GTX 1080 Turbo with my Vive Pro headset and would like a little advice on a few things.

Firstly, would it be worth upgrading from my GTX 1080 Turbo to a EVGA 1080ti founders edition card? 1080ti is £350 used, but not sure if that’s a reasonable price? Finally, would it help things in ACC? presently struggling with my set up above?

350 for a 27% improvement... or 469 for a 62% improvement that the RTX 3070 offers or 580 for a 75% improvement via the AMD 6800? (assuming you can find one)

Basically, the offer you have for a 1080ti is... poor. To make it competitive price-wise, it needs to be half of what you're being offered.

Great, thanks for that. There was also a 3070 super for sale, but as normal it was £600☹
Wait until end of January or February. The situation should become better by then.
It's normal capitalism. Currently the manufacturer can't produce enough for the demand but the factories can't really slow down.
Either they produce gpus or they don't.

So at some point they will produce more than the demand and then become cheaper again.

At least that's what most are hoping for... Not saying they will drop below msrp but you won't pay a 200-400€ "scarcity fee" anymore.. I hope!

350 for a 1080ti is too much though... You'd be better off buying a 2080 instead to have the ray tracing and ai cores and the better nvenc video encoding.
Even if you don't need it now. It's there and you should take it when at the same price!
