Virtual Le Mans Races at Nordschleife This Weekend

The alien-laden driver roster of Virtual Le Mans is back on track this weekend for 8 hours of action at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Round 3 of the Virtual Le Mans series will take place this weekend, with the drivers taking on the Nordschleife for 8 hours. The event utilizes rFactor 2 for competition, and features both LM prototype and GT endurance cars. The driver roster includes not only some of the best and most popular sim racers, but also real-world drivers from race series like Indycar, DTM and W.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the series were held at Monza and Spa, respectively. Dani Juncandella of RealTeam Hydrogen - Redline took the victory in round 1, a 4 hour race at Monza. Round 2 went to Bono Huis of Team Redline at the 6 hour race at Spa Francorchamps. The series spans five events, and after the Nordschleife only Sebring remains before the 24 hour endurance final at Le Mans.

The green flag at Nordschleife drops this Saturday at 12:30 GMT. Let us know if you plan to watch the race, and who you're cheering for.

Anything involving Motorsport games gets a wide pass thanks.

The sooner they are out of sim racing the better for everyone.
Agreed
Working for the competition? Can't understand such an opinion
Well , different people probably have different reasons. From my side, I hate the fact they took the license for LM24h, made it an e-sports thing for a small group of pros, a ridiculous sprint champ for the community, and prevented any other company from organizing a proper LM24h in which everyone can race.

BTW glad to see how much "hype" this event has got based on the "multitude" of enthusiastic comments in just a few hours

Apparently Forza Horizon is preferred on here, go figure.

I don't know but I would not be surprised at all if I learned that it was a server/multiplayer issue.

UPDATED: Yes, it was. The broadcast on YT is quite pathetic.
Oh I see, they had server issues and NOW you're interested.

Pathetic in what sense, I thought the broadcast was extremely professional and well put together?

I am interested in how this is going to end, so the race can be done in other sims. Maybe I shouldn't, imsa races in iRacing are quite good.

The commentators were very professional indeed, I felt sorry for them.
